New pen day

I was at an old stationary shop taking some office supplies while i couldn't resist asking him if he had a hero fountain pen.

He gave a pause and then took out a box of hero 343 fountain with 3 of them.

I was looking for another model but still something is better and moreover most shops i had asked say no stock and no idea when it'll back in stock.

It's a surprise to me as a shop in which i least expected had something to suffice.

I took one anyway as i wanted to not skip having this model with some design.

Other is the Mohi Aura ebonite pen f nib 35mm with ink window at the bottom and breather hole in the cap.

Is a fine nib but writes Butter smooth with less to no feedback on regular notes paper.

Had issue of ink flowing out on the grip section and in the cap so i tried to tighten the nib a bit and lets hope the issue resolves without the need to send back for replacement.

That hero pen revives a lot of nostalgia about my school days... I'll never miss the day my hero pen leaked all over my bag and books... Suffice to say, it was a very painful day for a 10 year old me... Both mentally and sepcifically physically😅

Unfortunately  in our time education system was full of black ink ball pens or gell pens.

Due to this my handwriting was 10x horrible than the Doctors prescription.

No one ever told me that a fountain pen helps improve handwriting but those days class rooms became full fast forward with the teacher running late to catch her jet plane to mars and students running behind tearing papers on the notebook.

So i never got to use a fountain pen in all my Education till 2/3 yrs back.

Due to this i had preserved the Wingsung pen which can be seen in my first post  which was my elder sisters that one day I'll get a chance to use it.

Which came but it was so weak maybe that it broke into peices just 3rd day of revival from coma.

But one thing never changed is the truck loads of heavy weight bag which was like a gulag kind of system punishing students to bring books to school with Approx 3-5 kg for the school childr

This was also the same case in my school days... After the leaky incident, My parents refused to buy me another fountain pen... They insisted on only using ball pens (which from their perspective is understandable... Noone wants to deal with a ink stained shirt every day...) While using a ball point, my handwriting literally was the first letter of a word, and a line... Sort of like a fill in the blanks...

My reintroduction to fountain pens came while I was studying for B.Tech. On my second year, while cleaning my room, I found an old hero 330 that I used in my school days, and that spark was reignited... Fast forward today, 3 years later, now i have close to 25 fountain pens if which, 98% are Indian. The only non Indian fountain pens I now have are my jinhao 991 which I bought as a pack of six, and my Sheaffer no-nonsense.

Coming to our education system, I to agree... I literally thought it was an early training to become a coolie... When I was in 5th std. My bag would come close to 5 kg. And let me tell you hauling this massive block to school on a public bus, wasn't the easiest of things...

Wow Sheaffer nonsense thats the pen i have been searching for in a demo black body.I also had one contact but he gave hand at the last minute after confirmation of Green demonstrator at around ₹600.

Many sellers like jain, khan etc are charging differently to different people and hence dont quote them on fb page.

What they have is just a glittery picture and for details contact via prime minister. So i have also joined in the effort of no price mentioned no buying done.

So far only 3 indian pens with this Chinese hero.

For taking notes is it good to have a fine nib such that we don't have bleed through or feathering effect in non fp papers like recycled paper in bank etc

I think both those pens are very attractive. Thank you for sharing.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

I assume you bought your pen from Mr.Dhruv Jain or his father Mr. Jitendra Jian... I also bought my No Nonsense from him... For 600 rupees I got a nice transluscent blue one... I have seen their Facebook page but I hardly use any social media for the last 5 years... I only have accounts on fb and instagram for the sake of it... So for me, buying pens are mainly done via whatsapp or websites like penhouse, penworld

or amazon... I prefer WhatsApp, as you can have a detailed conversation, and with UPI, phonepe, Paytm etc. being a thing now in India buying directly from wholesalers has become a lot easier...

If you want, I'll send you contact of a wholesaler from whom I buy most of my pens... If I've done a review of a pen on FPN under India and subcontinent section, chances are high that it might be purchased from him... Just PM me if you need his contact. The prices are reasonable and he's fairly quick to ship orders...

I usually do have a fine nib daily carry always inked with me... Presently is the vsign neo piston filler... The nis very fine and writes smoothly on a wide variety of paper...
