Replacement for #6 JoWo nib?

I’m sure there already exists a thread on this somewhere so feel free to redirect me:

I have a nice pen (Desiderata) with a fairly boring JoWo #6 nib. It writes well enough and that’s about it. Any suggestions on replacement nibs that would fit the housing and give me a more interesting writing experience? For example, a bit of line variation?

Get a custom ground JoWo #6 nib from (for example only!) FPNibs.com, and you can have whichever type of interesting writing experience you want. :)

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

My Desiderata currently has an 18k JoWo stub, but tomorrow will be wearing an untipped ultraflex. Last week, it was a Franklin Christoph SIG. All of these give great line variation.

It's one of the easiest nibs to find replacements for. IMO Franklin Christoph is a great place to start for well tuned nibs sold individually.

That was going to be my suggestion. I love my. FC nibs.  I also think @PrestoTenebroso makes some beautiful pens!

Here are a few F-C nibs.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Since my in-laws live in the Raleigh/Durham area, I have been looking at a Franklin-Christoph replacement nib for my Gravitas titanium pocket pen that I want to use for urban sketching when we travel.  I believe it was shipped with a pretty standard Jowo #6 nib which I'm not thrilled about.  I was a little wary that the extra-fine might be too scratchy so I ordered the fine.  I'm glad I did because it has a decent line weight, which I like, but it is also scratchy and skips occasionally, which I don't like.  It just isn't the "buttery smooth with a little feedback" experience I was hoping for.  That is why I was considering a FC replacement nib (and why this thread caught my attention).  Mizgeorge and amberleadavis have me convinced to order from FC but which one?  My question is, should I consider Franklin-Christoph's high performance steel fine or extra fine to get the "smooth with a hint of feedback" feel with a "slightly thinner than a Lamy 2000 fine" line weight that I desire?  Or, do I need to purchase one of their gold nibs?  Does anyone have any experience with the Franklin-Christoph fine or extra fine nibs in HP steel or 14k gold?

Thanks,

John
