Postcard Swap

OK - I'm addicted! Have to admit it. Just completed and sent off 26 postcards over the weekend. Anyone know a good therapist?

If you ever find a therapist, let me know. I usually take short day trips to other countries (thanks to Ryanairs cheap tickets) and send appr. 20-30 cards everytime to friends and relatives. I am contemplating staying another day so I can see some sights also, not just sitting and writing cards. :roflmho:

Hoping you have a Happy Mail Day!

Hanna

Just returned from the mad dash accross country to take my daughter to another year of college. I returned with a huge stack of cards. I now have cards from some of those hard to get states for those of you who are collecting states:

California (of course, homestate)

Nevada

Utah

Wyoming

Nebraska

Iowa

Illinois

Michigan

Texas (airport stop on the way back)

Send me a PM if you would like a specific card. (or PM me if you want to start receiving cards from me, I'm always looking for new postcard friends).

Received several cards while I was gone, I'll reply soon...promise.

For those of you living near enough to Allen, MI: There is an antique store on the corner (its a small town, you'll find it), I believe its called Michiana Antiques. They are going out of business at the end of the season and have about 8 shoeboxes full of vintage cards down in the basement with the books. I tried to get her to sell me the lot, but she insists on selling them one at a time. Still, they are only 25 cents apiece.

If you can get there, it might be worth a drive. (Stop by in Hillsdale and say hello to my kid..GR10Girl).

...shoeboxes full of vintage cards ....

That is exactly what I did. Some were marked a lot more than that, but cash is king and cards weren't selling very well, so the antiques vendor sold me two full shoeboxes.

Hello all!

Writing to apologise for my tardiness, had a four day pain flare this week, so largely confined to bed, or pepped up on (prescription) goofballs!

Managed to post out 10 pcs on Saturday. And thanks to those of you who sent several, which I read through the haze. Hari, Inkypete, AlaskanWriter and hookem11, I remember, but there were a couple of others too. Apologies if I missed out your name.

Think I'm back in the land of the living now. Thanks to you all, and keep 'em coming!

I've sent out cards to everyone I owe cards to. The list is much too embarrassing to post... just... expect them to arrive on a couple of weeks, unless our mailpeople are feeling cranky, in which case it'll take longer.

THANK YOU ALL!

Cards have gone out this past week to a whole herd of you! (btw, I've decided to just acknowledge cards received, and not cards I've sent.)

I'm continuing in my quest to make my own cards from photos I've taken (hope you don't mind). It's a matter of figuring out the most decent paper and getting the software to work. (iPhoto is pain in the butt for this purpose; I'm using a software program for the Mac called Sophie's Cards that I've found very nice for greeting cards. It's the paper that is presenting more of a challenge, but I'm working on it.)
