ETA: tumbleweed - your card was a little bit of coincidence in the mail because we've been doing Native American lit in my junior classes! I don't know what that is, either, but it looks like maybe it's a small rug or tapestry?

Hello, everybody! I've been a life-long postcard fan, and my friends always receive postcards from wherever I may be traveling. Today I decided to order a set of custom postcards featuring a picture I took in Budapest. I'd like to start exchanging some postcards on here, so PM me if you're interested! I'm open to receiving postcards from anywhere, especially from places outside the USA. Likewise, I'm willing to send them anywhere. However, be warned, I won't have my postcards in hand for as many as three weeks.

 

A little about me: I just graduated from high school in northwest Ohio, but I was mainly raised in the Cleveland area. Tomorrow I am moving to Missouri to begin studying at Washington University in St. Louis. Traveling, good food and science are my passions. I have taken five years of Spanish (and would love to receive cards written in Spanish!). I look forward to participating here!

Received 3 cards yesterday from HennyPenny, Rolard, and Orangesam, including an original photograph of the Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC (well done HennyPenny). Responses are still delayed waiting for stamps.

I think the postcard exchange idea is great, especially good for my kids who like to see on the world map where the postcards are coming from (& thus improving their Geography!)

Received another one today from Mullsol, homemade card beautiful photo of his cherry blossoms. Also the card from Fredryder was of a painting by one of my favorite artists JMW Turner! Jolly good show.

I received one of Fred's "sappy" cards. I don't mind them at all! I have a couple of holiday ones that I prop on the mantle at the appropriate times, and the polychrome "mezzotinting", metallic inks, and embossing on those early cards is pretty cool.

 

Glad to hear that Emma Ehlers got 34 little chickens out of those two hens :) (in 1912) -- anyone else have an episode in the saga of Emma's chickens?

I made postcards for my upcoming art show with a printed detail of one of my new pieces and will happily send one to whomever wants one, so long as you privately message me your mailing address.

 

Got home and there were two cards waiting for me....

 

 

SPLICER, Great card..the show must have been amazing....but there's no return address....so PM me when you get a chance and I'll get one out to you....

 

 

Also got a great card from PENHORSE today...thanks!

 

oh....and i got a new bottle of MB Violet...... my fav!!!!
