I received my first two postcards today from:

PaulK and Okami - and it was great to get them!

 

Question: The only domestic $0.28 postage stamps my local post office is offering is the polar bear stamp. Is this the case throughout the country? (No insult intended to the noble polar bear, of course!) Just wondering.

 

Also, it's nice to know what type of ink you're writing with. I only have two bottles at this point: J.Herbin Perle Noire and Noodler's Zhivago (both shades of black!). There is an inequity here, since I now own 5 fountain pens. :hmm1:

Nope, that's the only $0.28 and/or postcard stamp I found. If you have some older postcards stamps you can use them if you add the extra postage needed to send them nowadays. (I'm in DC)

PS: This batch was "sealed" with a white crayon. It is the first time I tried this, and it was done on some old vintage cards and everyone came out looking perfect. A couple of the yellowed cards did show it a hair, but hardly at all. I will do this on all of them now... Nine cards is a lot of coloring!!!!

Oh, it's not my idea... I thought I read it in this thread to be honest. I had known about it, but it had slipped my mind until I saw my daughter at the table and a "now misplaced" white crayon!

Am starting to get replies to my reuqest to join the PC brigade - will get back to all those who offered. thank you (This 5 min delay thing does for me. I only get five or ten mins at a time at my computer before I'm dashing off somewhere, it seems)

 

Just wondering though, there don't seem to be many of us gals doing this. All my replies are from the boys, so far. Not being sexist, just wondering if its more of a 'boy thing'? Or are the lads spending more time at the computer instead of in the woodshed?

I fixed the double posting. As for alphabetical order, the names are ROUGHLY in the order they appear in the topic. I can reorder them if you like, or send me a PM and I'll send you the Excel file.

As for myself, I've been sending cards (and letters), but not necessarily recording these in the Forum. But I have been adding FPN names to my "About me" page as I agree to correspond with anyone. I figured in the time it took for me to note in the thread that I had sent or received a postcard/letter I could have sent another actual postcard/letter.

 

I'm basically coming here to find new vic.... uh, Postcard Exchange pals.
