Was it irradiated? So far it seems that this practice may be on hold for postcards, at least.

I received my FIRST postcard yesterday - from Aaron in Colorado - thanks, Aaron. Yippee!! If anyone would like a postcard from North Carolina, please pm me. I'm in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area -- home of NC State, UNC and Duke. This is fun, although I must say I'm having trouble finding fountain pen friendly postcards. HP

The paper turns a yellowish white and becomes very fragile and friable. You would think the card travelled across incomprehensible spans of time, if you'd didn't know better. If you didn't notice anything strange immediately, I'm guessing there was no irradiation.

Both are ink-jet printed digital photos with a self-adhesive backing. Please say if they get through the sorting machines unscathed or not.

Received card from Inkypete in Melbourne today -- only 4 days from Australia to NC! I've sent cards to Aaron in Colorado, Inkypete, Judybug and Martha, and I can see right now that I've got to find better commercial postcards !! Ones that better represent the heart of North Carolina -- but they're getting hard to find as fewer and fewer places sell them. I'll keep looking and re-send cards to these folks -- I LOVED the cards of Colorado (Aaron) and Melbourne (Inkypete). G'day and out! HP
