Mailed a bunch of cards yesterday and today. If anyone wants a card from Finland, just let me know...

I'll let you know, Den. By the way, apologies to all who receive my view-from-the-past -card. That's the card that inspired me to come to this thread in the first place, when I ran into those at the local museum. I even sent one to my childhood neighbor (you'll get it when you receive the card), but the feathering on that material: :gaah:

Well I joined the club, so if anyone wants a card from me, let me know.

Being a retired full time traveling musician, I use to allways send cards home to my father. Too bad I don't travel as much now. I am going to start collecting card from my shorter road trips to send.

I'll have to find some postcards, but if anyone wants to get something from entirely-too-sunny north Texas, I'm in. :)

Can anyone tell me how those printable postcards from Staples do with fountain pen ink?

I don't know how they do with ink, but I bought some and took them back. I couldn't get them to line up with my printer and they wouldn't tear on the perforation.

Two more great cards received:

liapuyat

ginigin - I purchased the backs for my photocards from The2Buds.com, they just peel and stick, but there has been great success using Avery labels, see earlier posts

Many of you are talking about making your own cards, and also doing so. Have anyone ever made their own stamps (ordered from postal service), or is it even possible in every country. I've not so much thought about making cards, but for a long time I've wanted to have my own stamps.

My question is, is it worth the money? I just checked today: it's 1.40e/one, when the regular stamps are 0.80e. But I'm still intrigued...

And for the sake of not going too much off the topic  , I got some more cards to send, for anyone wanting one.

Cards to go in the post tomorrow to Judybug, hari317, toidpen... and some 'second wave' cards to go out too.

I'm really enjoying a good excuse to put pen to card - it's just a puzzle as to why some cards are FP friendly and some aren't, even from the same range of cards by the same manufacturer. I'd try to find an alternative but think the whole postcard thing is fun.
