How do you keep the ink from smearing on a postcard??? Seems to need dry overnight and then, might still smear!

Eventually, you learn which cards to avoid, with the coated card stock. The worst offenders are new free promotional cards, although my favorites are awful paper for most fountain pen inks: beautiful reproduction cards from Mayfair Cards of London.

 

I use rocker blotters all the time, and I carry pieces of blotter paper when travelling. Richard Binder offers reproduction blotters for sale (and sometimes encloses one with orders).

It seems that Gracie has established a small following. Gracie, whose photo appears at left, is not only better looking but a far better conversationalist than me, much to my regret.
