Hi, I come from a little town on the Mississippi River with plenty of nice postcards of bridges, riverboats, and charming downtown scenes. I've been lurking this forum for about a year, I have a handful of inexpensive pens, and some blue and black ink. I'm all set to send and receive some postcards. Anyone who is interested, please PM me!!!

Thanks for all cards and apologies for the delay in sending mine - tomorrow I'll have an awful exam and right after it I'll jump into postcard writing... :)

OK, so I know the postage to mail a postcard to another country is $.94 (all countries I've checked so far anyway). So do I just need to put $.94 in stamps on the card and drop it in the mailbox with the in country cards, or do I need to take it to the post office? Also, does a return address go on a postcard? If so, anywhere specific? Novice questions, I know. Thanks for your help.

No need for a return address, just stick $0.94 postage on it and drop in on the mail. No need to visit the Post Office.

From the USA, Canada and Mexico are 72 cents. Note that these overseas rates have eliminated the postcard rate, and postcards now go the same rate as the first anachronistic ounce of first class. At that rate, I would assume a return address would therefore work, but I never write them on. Not enough room!

And it all goes airmail, so airmail stickers are superfluous, but I like them anyway! I like those old-fashion rubber stamped ones I see some using.

Fred

P.S. I've throttled back on my postcard mailings, just to see who's interested anymore. But I have lots of vintage cards piled here. ;)

Thanks!
