Thank you everyone for the lovely cards!

Yesterday, I went into the small shop at the base of the stone obelisk in Bennington Vermont, and there were some odd postcards in a little rack hidden behind the main inventory. Oh joy!

Stamps. I must buy stamps! I just wish the US Postal Service would issue a design to replace tropical fruits. Pink clashes with the autumnal colors.

Received a great vintage card of Melbourne, Victoria from Leanne today. Judging from the automobiles in the picture, I'd guess ca. 1960. But the most striking thing about the card is the outstanding calligraphy. I'm posting a scan here to share this with others.

Thank you Leanne! I hope you don't mind my sharing this.

Calligraphy IS outstanding and THANKS for sharing. Leanne, tis awesomely, I tell thee.

Just adding to the Leanne Penmanship Admiration Society postings. Received amazing handwriting on a postcard of... Mt. Fuji!

Thank you all for the lovely postcards, I will not flood this thread with my "thank you" posts.

Oh yes, my calligraphy is irreprehensible, any deficiency must be the consequence of the lack of a desirable pen. ;) (But really, I am eyeing a Binderised Pelikan M250 flexible duo-point nib, I am sure the nib will be wonderful but I just don't like the look of the pen, especially the transparent part. :glare: )

I find myself always going to the post office or some stationery shops to buy stamps, I only buy a few at a time in the hope that they will have new ones the next time, but so far my hope has been in vain.

I have stopped sending PMs up to page 43 (starting from the latest), the oldest post was #631 (I might have missed a few in between by accident). If anyone else would like a postcard from NZ, please send me a PM with your preference if you have any.

Fred, I got your card. Thank you! I love trains, so the choice of imagery was most appropriate.

Just realized that I have lost addresses of several postcard senders. So if Fred, Celeste & Cherry could send me their address I would appreciate it.

Now I will keep a paper copy of the info.

Fred! You postcard sending maniac!

Do ladies in Vermont still dress like that? LOL!

Still a lot better than some of the ladies I've seen roaming the Strip. :roflmho:

Hey! She's genteel (in a Victorian sort of way). Besides, I needed her to cool off after that one you sent.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I have been out of the loop for a while, I have not felt very well... Long story short I have quite a few people that I will be sending out postcards to this week. I received so many in the mail, when I got back home I am overwhelmed in a thankful and good way!!! I will be PM'ing everyone that sent me one over the last couple of months so do not worry the postcards are on the way soon and I will let you know when I send them out for each person.

I hope everyone is doing good, I look forward to catching up. :happyberet:

Regards,

L

Hi L,

I doubt that you need to PM everyone, just send a card when you can..... I'm sorry to hear you've been unwell and pleased you are better (if you are!).

I for one don't sit by the postbox awaiting replies...it makes their arrival a nice surprise :)

If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you.

Dear PCBs (post card buddies),

I'm quite far behind on replying to post cards. Probably, 6 weeks or more! I do intend to catch up over time so please, don't take my lack of response as a sign of disinterest.

On the other hand, I will certainly understand that some of you may stop sending cards to me as I owe some of you TWO cards!

Oh well, I need to go back to thinking smiley thoughts :)

Got your card today! I've been so busy with work I am way behind in the Post Card arena. Will try to get some out
