Postcard Swap

Anyone living in Africa, Eastern Europe, Central Europe, Asia and South America? I'd love to do a postcard swap with you :) I live in Santa Cruz, California, USA (western United States). Sometimes, I live in Vancouver, Canada but 99% that your postcard will come from Santa Cruz since I am not going back to Vancouver in the next few months.

The best I can offer is SW Europe, from a former resident of Africa, Asia and Australasia!

PM your address if you wish.

If you make people think they're thinking, they'll love you; But if you really make them think, they'll hate you.

Dale,

While we don't have any "rules," and I have no official status, I usually take on the task of pointing out the following:

The usual protocol is that you look through this thread and identify someone(s) with whom you would like to exchange cards. You PM that person and offer to PM your address. They PM you back with their address and you PM them back with your address.

(You already know my address)

That way you get to solicit postcards from whomever you choose based on whatever criteria you choose.

Defacto,

Your post card arrived safe and sound, thanks. Are all animals in Der Nederlands teeny?

I sent out a bunch of postcards, but I don't think I got everyone. However, I have blank postcards left, so there's always an opportunity for a card later (even one bought on our trip). :)

You're back already? Your card from the Hermitage did have a stamp with a profile of HM, so I figured you were heading west. But so soon! You need a month in London at least.

We had travel-itis, and the only cure for that is bed rest at home.

(I can't believe I was so museumed out that I didn't take my camera with me to the British museum. Doh!)

Deirdre,

Welcome home and nice to have you back. Thanks so much for the wonderful postcard of the Mikhailovsky Castle in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Rest well.

Yes, Deirdre - fabulous card you sent me. I've never been to Europe (ok, Istanbul once), so this was a little of living vicariously. Your trip sounds great.

Seems that Fred has been doing a bit of traveling himself, judging from the post mark on the card that appeared in yesterdays mail. Thanks Fred! I need to get busy and send a few out today.

I have received your card of the Golden Drawing Room of the Hermitage, thank you. It's so very beautiful, and so very gold! I just cannot figure out what those pointed furnishings are in the room.

I'm 2 behind  to some of you.

Postcards going out in Monday's mail to Leanne, Hari, and Lanie.

I'm still trying to determine how to respond appropriately to Fred's cards written by dead people. (So I presume, given the age of the cards.) I could just send some of the ones you guys sent to me, but then I wouldn't have them any more.

Ahhhh, so you were cogitating that quandary as well. But we know better than that! That reminds me, my supply is running low.
