Postcard Swap

This is great... I'm receiving a second round of cards from Louie, Vipul, and Fred. Would be happy to send more back, but I think I deleted my previous PMs. So, PM me again if you want another card from Virginia or North Carolina where we vacationed this year.

I just received today what I'm sure was a really cool post card from Suggie/Angus from the UK. I say that because it is so mangled, I'm not sure how they even figured out it was coming to me, unless the delivery guy is the one who worked it over. Almost half the card is missing, and it looks like someone soaked it and then wrung it out like an old paper towel. :crybaby: I hate my post office.

Suggie, please PM me your address, so I can slip a card to you from work and hopefully hit a post office that doesn't seem to be gunning for me!

/hugs

Yahoo! My first postcard arrived today from Rogerb in Spain. What a beautiful area you live in. My next card to you will be more specific to my little town. And that Bay State Blue really pops off the page - great color. Your Parker Emerald Vacuumatic sounds beautiful - that Diamine Woodland Green ink is a great match. Thanks, Roger.

Oops...I think I have just sent you another copy of the same card, kudzu....my recording system has broken-down!

I promise a different one next time.

(And I've gone and lost Toulouse's address...I tore through the first line of it when I opened his snail mail....too many senior moments! I blame the hot weather!)

I have a stack of postcards from so many of you, and some have even kindly written letters to which I've responded (or will soon). If I try to name each of you, I will, no doubt, forget someone and I sure don't want to do that.

I got your attractive card today, Kudzu, thanks. :)

(I also got Toulouse's address from him and sent-off his snail...... although in addressing it, at 3am, I first managed to smudge the slow-drying Tulipe Noire, so got a new envelope....then, I put the address on upside-down....should've left it until this morning! Ah, well....)

Once a pen was so happy to be bought. So much so, that it piddled all over its pages.

I would love to participate. While I am presently in rural America, I have a rather extensive postcard collection that I've gathered over the years, and would love to share them with other FPn members.

May I join you?

I had a lovely post-cum-correspondence-card from Judybug today, beautifully written-upon as always...thank you. :)

(Apparently the PCs were too shiny to write on so she stuck 'em on foldover corr cards !)

I've fallen behind in my 'thank yous' but thank you all, nonetheless, for all the beautiful postcards. You know who you are and I truly love this exchange program we've got going here.

Zoe, please join us.

Just pick one or more folk from the postings above, PM them and offer to exchange postcards. When the OK is replied (virtually certain) exchange mailing addresses and send the postcards.

Most of us prefer NOT to post our addresses on the open forum.

Happy Posting!

Delightful picture of the California Redwoods arrived from Clancy this morning.

Thank you very much!

I remember wandering among those incredible trees some years ago. They were quiet unnerving as one went in deeper, and one's feet tread silently on the soft pine needles.

Also glad to see Noodler's La Coleur Royale.

Glad it arrived safely. Yes, I have a tall stack of post cards that are only meant for ball points. They are beautiful cards, but fountain pen ink either feathers terribly or beads up and never dries. I had planned to add them a box of things I was going to take to the local charity, thinking some BP users might enjoy them. But then I unearthed a box of Strathmore blank cards with envelopes - in my jungle of a craft room. They're just the right size to glue a post card on the front. I think these are especially nice for international card-swappers because the postage is not any more than it would be for a post card that is not in an envelope.

Roger - I hope the post card stayed glued to the foldover. Some of these post cards are so slick, I wondered if the glue would hold.
