And thanks to Andy for being the one to say this over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and...

Just go through the posts of folks who participate, pick out one or more you would like to exchange postcards with, PM them offering the exchange and trade mailing addresses.

It's simple and there is no list or signup or anything! Just buy postcards, stamps, write, and mail!

Andy

Succubus is right Andy. You really are vigilant and helpful with the new posties. Much appreciated.

cheers,

Clancy

I'm glad to do it whenever I notice someone asking. It isn't just eleemosynary on my part, mostly I'm hoping to get "picked" as a post card recipient.

DANGER! Fred bought eighty or so vintage cards at the antiques mall. The man must be insane.

HELLO! It has been a very long time since I've been on here. I've been very busy with work, school (me going full-time), kids, tutoring (after school), and taking care of a sick parent. At this point I'm not sure if the tunnel has an end let alone where the tunnel is at. Needless to say, I've gotten extremely behind in honoring my end of swaps and now feel like I can breath enough to uphold my part of some deals. Some of you I know I've sent to, some I know that I need to and the rest I'm just not sure about. So if I owe you one and you're not mentioned PLEASE pm me. If you asked for a card and I didn't get back with you, PLEASE pm me.

In my hand I hold cards for: penburg, finalidid, FredRyder, Petra, luckygrandson, and have PM'd suggie.

Thanks and I'm truly sorry for the delay!

aka Louie

I too have just received one of FREDRYDR's lovely old cards. Many thanks, Fred!

Would anyone like a card of an interior of The London Library? I have a few and I would be happy to send them.

I put 31st and South into Mapsource to locate intersections, but damn if I can find a landmark.

Maybe soif is sumthin' else.

Apparently, you are having a little trouble translating Brooklynese.

31st was correct. soif is Surf Avenue. zip is the famous 11224!

Thirty Thirty Surf Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11224.

In Coney Island, Brooklyn. Just a short hike from the revered Cyclone and Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs.

Mother moved uptown in Coney Island, she is now West 8th Street and Surf Avenue, and her terrace view is of the Cyclone, the Astrotower, the Wonder Wheel, Nathans, the Coney Island subway terminal, and the pier and boardwalk.

Today was the Mermaid Parade with scantily costumed bathing beauties! And though it is certainly politically incorrect, the infamous Coney Island "Freak Show" is still open!

I have a stack of postcards from so many of you, and some have even kindly written letters to which I've responded (or will soon). If I try to name each of you, I will, no doubt, forget someone and I sure don't want to do that.

I've just written 5 postcards and they're ready to be sent off. I did hit upon a bit of a problem, the postcards I had for Manchester were on a shiny paper, so I couldn't write on them with fountain pen. At the moment I'm having to send postcards showing my hometown, I keep forgetting to pick up some of our postcards in work.

I got around this by writing on a bit of nice notepaper and then pasting it to the card!

I'm behind on acknowledging the beautiful cards I have gotten. I received a really cool one from Jamie in Nova Scotia of an oil painting of Halifax in 1820. I loved the stamp too because it has an orchid on it! Fred I'm really enjoying all of the vintage postcards! It is like a little surprise among my usually boring mail each time I get one. Lashelle
