Postcard Swap

Recommended Posts

My Postal Clerk has been collecting cards ( mostly upstate NY) for a long time. As I'm the only person he knows who sends postcards, he's been giving them to me to use. I even got some very nice handcrafted ones from him.

I'd love to send them out. Shoot me a pm if interested.

Can anyone direct me to a character recognition cursive Cyrillic Russian to English website? Or perhaps just translate this:

Hey! I'd like to get in on this too not that my location is interesting. :)

I have postcards but was wondering if 4" x 6" photographs can be used as postcards. Anyone know?

Just posting your interest in the thread is only one-half of what you need to do. The second step is to work your way backwards in the thread and send a PM to those who are participating, offering to swap postcards and providing your mailing address and asking for theirs.

If you just post in the thread, it'll take forever to get started, waiting for someone to send a PM to you since you're at the bottom of the thread! It is incumbent upon the newly arrived to this thread to send his/her PM to those who went before in the thread.

Alas, not for cursive. I'm waiting to speak to a Russian who can read it to me, the way it used to be done.

And you're quite welcome for the post cards!

If anyone would like a postcard from Western Australia I would like to join in too. Would it be interesting enough to begin with the ones from my local post office which show local scenes?

Will work for pens...

Amanda,

Have you had any positive responses from others in this thread?

This is such a wonderful idea! I would like to participate and will start working my way backwards in the thread as Fred describes in post #2888, thanks!

Hello everyone, I'm interested in joining the Postcard Exchange. I'm going back through the list to PM one or two people to start, but thought I'd post here as well in case anyone would like to contact me. I'm located in north Queensland, Australia, nestled between the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area and the Great Barrier Reef.

I am interested in swapping postcards. I am in the midwest just PM me. Some of my postcards would be of my art and others but not likely the tourist type like Welcome to...wherever.

I’m interested in getting involved in this. If anyone would like a postcard from Sunbury, Victoria, Australia let me know. I’m not all that into sport but Sunbury is home of the Ashes for anyone into Cricket.

Hi all! I'd like to join in on this and would like to swap with folks in the USA to keep the postage down.

Contact me if interested!
