Ah, Fred, could you PM me your address? I seem to have mislaid it - careless of me. Oh, and so far you are winning the award for Most Bizarre Postcard. Well done! http://www.dharmawheel.net/images/smilies/clapping.gif

I think I might hit up the 'antique' stores in a couple of weeks, see if I can find anything historically entertaining!

Hi

I'll be happy to send Postcards from Aveiro, Portugal to anywhere in the world, and to receive from anywhere too.

;)

Ask me to write a letter for you! And I'll attach it an Origami Tsuru

I found a box of postcards that I had in my office, and I wanted to share them with people who would enjoy them, or who just want mail postmarked from a place as unusual as Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.

Of course, most of my postcards are from other places (USA, Spain, Argentina), so you never know what you might get... ;) I can write in both English and Spanish, and I can read French and Portuguese.

So if you're willing to take "pot luck," just PM me, and we can exchange addresses.

Hi everyone,

I am looking to trade blank postcards and notecards with anyone interested. I did post in the classifieds and recieved some extremely generous and beautiful postcards. One of these generous souls said I should post my postcards here.

I'm looking for new and interesting postcards to send to my brother with Autism.

Please contact me if you want anything I have pictured. I also have some postcards of Gettysburg and Amish. (My mom took a trip and I asked for a few. She sent me over 50. I love my mom, but that's a little bit of over kill on 1 subject for my brother.) I haven't decided which ones to keep yet, so if you want to trade, it will be a mystery. The notecards do include envelops and are blank inside. I'm also willing to trade ink samples for postcards.

Thank you,

Chris

FYI effective 31-05-2015. USA postage changes for postcards: Domestic $0.35 (1-cent increase); International $1.20 (5-cent increase). There is no distinction made between first-class envelopes and postcards for international mail, not even to Canada. There are other postage changes, too.

I'll be happy to exchange a postcard with anyone from anywhere. I offer postcards from Slovakia and would love to see a view from your area.

I would love to exchange postcards as well. I am from the gulf coast in MS, USA. PM me and lets exchange addresses. I have a P.O. Box so I don't care who has that address.

Hi, friends! I just came across a box of postcards I hoarded from when I did postcard swaps here several years ago. I miss doing that! Sorry for falling out of touch.

My main pen is a Stipula flex nib, and I run all sorts of horrendous samples and experimental mixes through it. I rarely flush it between ink changes. I'll try to make notes of what I did if I remember.

Here's my standard offering:

-postcards I make from my scrapped photos, interesting packaging, and other dubiously-mailable things

-vaguely exciting postage; I try not to use the standard Forever stamps if I can

-paper coasters from various bars I stop in on my travels; probably US-only, since I can barely fit one stamp on a coaster, let alone multiple stamps. note: sometimes these don't make it through the mail, because some postal carriers are grumpy about my shenanigans

My current supply:

-a bunch of random super-touristy postcards I collected on family vacations as a kid

-miscellaneous photos and artwork and cards

-lick-and-stick stamps from the 90s

-a couple of Batman (Forever) stamps, which I totally adore and will send you one if you want

I'm based out of Pennsylvania, USA, but I travel a lot and like to post things from the road! Send me a PM with your address if you'd like to be on my list. I'm sporadic and unpredictable.

I like seeing: old motorcycles and cars, dramatic skies, ink/watercolor artwork, loud colors, repurposed cards not meant to be postcards, kitsch, brief descriptions of your surroundings, exciting food, irony

(Fred, I just dug up your address, and I'm going to send you something because I found so much great stuff you've sent me)

Of course, in response I dug up your old address and sent off a card...before I received your new address! I wonder if it'll be forwarded.

I looked up the USPS regs and confirmed US postcard mail is treated as first class mail and will be forwarded, and even returned if there is a return address (which I never add unless I need to inform a recipient of my address).

Fred

PS. Train postcards are on the way, Hakninja.

I don't even remember what address you have, but I don't think I have active forwarding from any of my old ones anymore at this point...into the aether for that one, probably! :/

I'm in.

I make my own postcards celebrating movies, actors, and actresses from the "studio era." All told I have amassed roughly 15,000 images, and about 10,000 are from that era—"stills," publicity photos, actors' and actresses' portfolio head shots, candids, posters, lobby cards, and more. These are what I offer. On the receiving end, I'm wide open.

I'll start PM-ing next week.

I love the smell of fountain pen ink in the morning.

I make my own as well. I enjoy historical / vintage photos of different places where I have lived, or that I have visited. I have a lot from Chicago (my home town), Illinois, Indianapolis (where I live now), Buenos Aires (where I do research) and Argentina, Salamanca and Madrid in Spain, etc. PM me and we can start exchanging... :D
