Postcard Swap

Clancy,

If you don't want duplicates, ask them to make each lot different. My last order for three lots had the same cards in the same order! Not that it mattered too much, because I have many on my postcard swap and Postcrossing list.

I have decided that I am going to start collecting postcards, and for a start, I would like to try and get one from every state. I will try my hardest to get one back, if not then at least a letter. Thanks for the help!

I've started printing my own postcards (I make lino prints) - if anyone wants one sent from London (not wildly exotic!) then PM me your address!

Best wishes all

Time to cull names. Reply to my last postcard if you haven't within the last three months.

If you like N.O.S. 1930-40s linen postcards from Pennsylvania's Lehigh and Susquehanna valleys (anthracite coal region, too), PM me to swap postcards. Schools, colleges, post offices, parks and lots of churches.

I have a question - does the appeal lie in the location being capture in the picture on the front of the postcard, the stamps, or simply receiving personal mail in brief format? I live near Wimbledon and could send postcards with pictures of Wimbledon or London. But I also have stashes of gorgeous postcards that have nothing to do with any town or city... More art cards, I guess.

I'd be interested to know what motivates all you postcard swappers!

For me, I get a lot of enjoyment out of the correspondence! The picture on the card is just an added bonus. Even with the image, I don't mind if it is something other than a picture of the location. I think art cards are great.

I'd like to get back into PC exchanges again. I have a few stalwarts that stuck with me whilst I've been so ill, and these are mainly in the US/Aus so I am looking to pick up new correspondants from Europe, Sth America, NZ, and other far-flung places. PM me if you are interested.

I'd also like to pick up the pieces with some folks I lost contact with. You know who you are, so if you want to get back into it, let me know back channel!

Cheers

I've been in this thread for a LONG time, but I guess that my name is so far back there that it doesn't get much attention. I enjoy swapping cards and would like to add any of you to the list. I swap regularly with a handful of FPNers, so I'm comfortable with an ongoing swap or a one-off, just let me know. Just send me a PM.

Like Steve, I've been at this for a while too. If you want a card from the North of Scotland, let me know -- I'll send one. I've been a bit quiet on postcarding for month or two, so if you think I owe you one, let me know. And Fred, I'll send one off to you in a day or two.

I seem to have lost some of my regular PC exchange people, and I hope to revive some interest so that we can get going again.

Today, I was looking through my received PC's and I found this quite large card that I had kept from my local Michelin starred restaurant. The place is famous for it's wine list, and the owner is Sir Peter Michael. We only go there on special days.

Anyway, I thought it made for an unusual picture, and would make a nice 'large sized' PC. So I made it into one and here it is:

If you fancy receiving it as a PC please PM me. It is pictured on an A4 sheet of white paper

Yes Please!!

We tried to visit as many heritage sites as we could last July but missed this one. You have a varied and beautiful country Angus.

That's a very kind offer.

(You have my address)

Thank you.

Best regards

Steve.

So, after deciding to bite the bullet and ordering some nice colourful ink, it would be a shame to not put them to some use. The postcard will be coming from Dorset, along the south coast of England, and I'll obtain some postcards of the local area and scenery to send.

So if you'd like a postcard, please send me a private message, and I'll get on in the post to you. I'm happy to post anywhere in the world.

Regards,

Lucas,

Hi,

I'd love to swap postcards with people. I live in Northern Virginia, close to DC. My very first fountain pen should arrive in the mail tomorrow and I'd like very much to break it in while having fun. I'm also looking forward to seeing all the lovely ink colors that are available and what pens other people use so I can get a better idea of what to buy next. PM me for my address. Thanks!
