All of the vintage Alaska Railroad PC's are gone. One more vintage PC with the Alaska state song and flag. I also bought some new PC's the other day, so they will be next to go out, unless someone requests the song/flag one specifically. smile.gifsmile.gif

Calling All Europeans!

I exchange PCs with many folks, mainly USA, Canada, Australia, and one each in Malaysia and India.

But I'd love to exchange with folks nearer home (I'm in the UK), especially from other European states.

Is there anybody out there? PM me if interested...

I'd love the vintage card! I can send one from Boulder (ish), Colorado in exchange.

Hi there,

I can send you a card from Holland, Europe if you like. Send me an email with your addres to:

x@gmail.com (NOTE: 'x' stands for 'afinepen' (my way of spam control))

I'll send an email in return with my address.

An other thing:

I made some deal including me getting a collection of about 700 old postcards, ranging from the 1920's till 1990.

Most are in very good shape and with the original stamp on it. Holiday greetings, season greetings, etc. Cards about landscapes, buildings, streets, flowers, animals, special locations, Zoo, people posing (profesionally, NO NUDE!!), cartoons, etc. All are genuine sent cards. Allmost all (99% ??) are cards are from Holland, a few from Germany or elsewhere.

Since I'm not a postcard collector, I was thinking of putting these on Ebay. But I thought I mention it here first. If someone is interested, let me know. I'd rather trade then sell. If you you are interested in all or just a part of it, send me an email (see adress above) and make me a proposal.

I'd like special or orange ink, nice pens like Waterman or Visconti, vintage pens, a nice donation to Compassion, .... or anything you can think of.

Surprise me.

The offer is for 600 cards maximum, because I want to keep some to add as a surprise in the envelopes of new postcards I'm sending around the world through Postcrossing.

Thanks,

Bert from Holland

I'd be happy to send some post cards from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I also like getting mail as well. Send a message either by PM or to my email. nolac12mech at yahoo

I'd love postcards from anywhere, but especially China.

I can send postcards from Eugene or Springfield, Oregon - I don't travel much.

Hi, I have backslide lately in exchanging post cards, but would like to start afresh!

The local postoffice has recently released a series of train stamps. I will use these stamps with an appropriate postcard. Please look at the options below and PM me with your choice of stamp and postal address (the postcard used will be of one type only)

1) 30 cent stamp - picture of the current electric commuter train (this stamp will be paired up with another stamp to meet the required 50 cent postage

2) 50 cent stamp - picture of the diesel locomotive, used for interstate travels as well as the long haul to Singapore and the Thailand border.

2) 1 dollar stamp - picture of a steam engine from the British Colonial days.

Please hurry as I would need to plan the number of stamps to purchase as well as to choose an appropriate postcard.

I'd like to join in...just not quite sure how this works.

I'm in Oklahoma City, OK, happy to receive any, will send as many as I can afford overseas. Is the list on the first page really all the people who have joined?

Hi,

I don't think the list is uptodate??

Just look for the posts here and send a PM to whom you like to send a card (that's what I do). And if you like a card from Holland, send me a PM with your address.

I just tried that Brian and it came up with an error message. Do I need to be signed into Google to read it? It didn't say... BTW, where do folks get the 'labels' at the bottom of their posts that say 'postcard exchange members' etc.? Just curious... Oh, and I used to live in WL, graduated from Purdue!

-- Nevermind about the 'labels', I found them - duh!

I've received a couple of postcards now (thank you, Jason! thank you, Bradley!) and I am now wondering... would it be seen as presumptuous, or somehow defeating the purpose of the PE, to write a short note in return to a postcard sent? I wouldn't want to offend anyone. I'm not talking a letter of any substance, just a quick note with no expectation of a reply. (I know there's a letter-exchange for that sort of thing.) Just curious about peoples opinions... I'm finding that sometimes there's just not quite enough room on a postcard, but too much room in a letter. A bit of a conundrum....

If I can tempt you in sending me a letter by sending you a postcard :puddle:

But seriously, I have the same problem. Sometimes, I write a letter and include a (written) postcard in the envelope. I rather receive a letter than a postcard, but I'm not a postcard collector....

Does anyone else, like me, enjoy receiving 'real' mail from all over the world? There are such a variety of members here that I thought it would be interesting to swap postcards of our town which have been written with a fountain pen. You could include details about the pen and ink you are using on the card, or just a general message about your hometown!

I'm happy to send postcards from Canterbury, United Kingdom to anyone who would like to receive one. Let me know in the forum below or send me a PM.

I would love to become part of this -- how do we post our address? Do we PM each individual, or is there a members only section in which addresses can be placed?
