Still receiving and sending out cards and am happy for new PC swappers. I do have a few vintage christmas greeting cards I can send out as it gets closer to the season.

Anybody remotely interesting is mad, in some way or another.

It is not "fixing" something that isn't broken - it is redirecting it to the original purpose and intent. I have no issue with following two threads - one to say I've sent/received, and one to see who is currently new and interested. It would make it easier in many ways, and I don't see it disturbing the flow or activity doing this.

 

Ray - could you perhaps pin the update thread to make it easy to find? :bonk: I'm not having much luck right now.

 

Perhaps further discussion of this should be moved to the Postcard Update Thread?

I have taken the liberty of creating the FPN Post Office.

 

That is the new thread where we go to post about what was received/sent.

 

The mods have chosen not to pin it at this time, but if we use it frequently, it should stay near the top.

In honor of the holidays, GMail is allowing each user to send a special postcard via snailmail (Only in the USA; click here to view). Although we won't be able to use fountain pens on these cards, would any FPN members be interested in exchanging GMail postcards? I'll be the first to volunteer- please PM me if you would like to exchange. Anyone else who is interested please say so on the thread.

I absolutely love this list- it makes exchanging much easier. However, what would everybody think of adding an optional "email" column? Sometimes finding the pages of users is a little difficult, and the time delay between being able to send messages can be a little frustrating.

Glad you like it. Maybe what we could do, is instead have a link direct to PM the user. I would hate to add email addys and have a spambot pick them up.

 

Id be happy to add the links to the user profile or direct to PM for the user. If thats acceptable

I'll give this a try and see if I get lucky. Can anyone send me any postcards of ORP Blyskawica? In return I'll offer to send postcards of the town where she was built and which she defended in 1942.
