Lamy 2000 Rollerball with Pentel EnerGel refill solution

Finding: Lamy 2000 Rollerball + Pentel EnerGel LRN5 refill + back plug from a Pilot LP3RF Juice Up refill = perfect fit

Explanation: I've had a Lamy 2000 Rollerball for some time now because I need a non-fountain pen for work at times and was never happy with the refill. I've tried the trick of jamming something in the back of the pen but I was never happy with how it worked and it kind of drove me crazy how it wasn't a perfect solution. What I just found is if you take a the white plug off the back of a Pilot LP3RF Juice Up refill and put it on the back of a Pentel EnerGel LRN5 refill, it's a perfect fit for the Lamy 2000. So if you just buy 1 Juice Up refill, you can keep using that plug for future EnerGel refills. The only downside is that it doesn't also work with Pilot G2 refills. It's still slightly too short. However, the EnerGel is much better than the Lamy refill in my opinion. I just thought I would share.

Cheers!

On a related note, the Lamy Tipo will accept Pilot G2 refills, making it an affordable option for an EDC rollerball and something you can loan out to others in place of your fancy FPs.
