Conway Stewart or Summit S. 100 Cadet?

I have been on the hunt for a vintage Conway Stewart (I don't have any nor have tried one) and along the way came across a very handsome Summit S. 100 Cadet.  I would not buy both at this time.  Wondering if those with more experience have a preference, and if so, why they have a preference.

I use my pens extensively and am interested in pens that write well.  All the pens I have ever regretted purchasing were pretty, so now I try to make sure to keep myself honest!

Thanks.  I know we all like different things.

Both are quality pens. The Cadet, as the name suggests is a lower level pen akin to the CS 15. Generally that means a slightly smaller pen and a smaller nib but the same quality as the rest of the Summit range.

The quality of the nib is more a matter of the pen than the manufacturer. Neither will disappoint if it is the right nib for you.

Thanks - the nibs seem to be similar - both M with a little bit of flex. The Cadet is approximately the same size as the CS I am considering.  This makes me feel more comfortable that either pen will serve me well!

In terms of prestige I would go with the 475. A pre war pen. The Cadet is post war

The only weakness with the Conways is the small tab on the end of the filler. They often bend and then break if the lever is stiff, either through the sac fossilising or the lever lock being too tight.
