@squirrelsthanks. If memory serves me right, Akhmatova is light in fluorescence. I don't recall Chekhov.. Have to check though. But those look quite psychedelic .

Nicely done @squirrels. Those are great inks with amazing chroma's. Vinta is a brand I've definitely got to check into.

I went heavy on the bleach and feather stencils for a lot of these, and also used more Createx Fluorescent Colors (CFC) on some.

I made some swirls on black poster board with Comart white airbrush paint. Opaque white has a strange property when used to cover darker colors; it shifts to a blue tone. I then applied Black Hole in some of the dark areas and took the picture in full sunlight at an angle to pop the sheen. The result was pretty interesting:

Nice! The Earl Grey one is just lovely, and the colours in the yama-dori are beautiful.

 

I have to admit I like some of these more than others - I definitely prefer the ones that look less digitally processed. 

 

(and I still don't dare keep bleach at my main desk...)

InesF's post made me look at that image more closely.  I don't see a mirror, though -- for me it's either a spindle with yarn on it or a pen nib....

@mizgeorge That's a very nice ink! I was not aware of the Constellation series. Love the light blue in the chroma.  👍

 

I'm still using bleach to lighten areas like the sun/moon spots. It doesn't take much; a 25% mix of bleach in a travel-size spray bottle is plenty. I've read that Nick uses about 50% in some cases, but I've found as low as 10% to still have a dramatic effect. Going outside and placing my paper on the patio, I spray a light mist through a circle stencil and let it dry for 5-10 minutes.
