Duke 209, with a really fun Fude nib. Inked with Robert Oster Lake of Fire.

Many thanks to @OldTravelingShoe for the heads up on this pen. 👍

👍 And good to hear you like it!

But watch it, because it's a slippery slope... I went to Duke 551 Confucius (another interesting pen), which is about 7x the price, then to the Sailor 1911L pen with Naginata Fude, which is (to me) a very significant and even extravagant increase.

Really a beauty!
And don't worry about the no new pens rule. This one's vintage, not new. :D

I second @Lexus77 's both statements 😄

Thanks for sharing, @Lexus77

Conway Stewart 475 inked with Quink blue, Platinum Preppy inked with Platinum cartridge in black but I might have refilled the cartridge with a non-proprietary ink, Benu with RNI grind by Mark Bacas inked with Taccia Ukiyo-e Hokusai Fukaki Hanada.  First time I've tried this Taccia, and so far I'm a big fan of the shading I'm getting in this grind that was done on a factory F.

I believe your encouragement helped me decide to purchase it.  You often have Conway Stewarts in use.  I've noticed!

That's because they are such good pens.

Today's journal pen was a NotLamy Brown Bear pen with a nib marked EF. It's also not very EF. The ink is Van Dieman's Leatherwood Honey Amber since I heard bears quite like honey. It is cute. 🐻 <-- Is that a bear?

A 1950's Platinum. Love the 'Koi' patterns that the Japanese pen manufacturers were doing at this time. Of course, Platinum are still doing a 'Koi' pattern, in the 3776 Kingyo. This pen has a squeeze filler, which I guess was heavily 'influenced' by Parker's Aerometric filling system. It's a great writer, and is inked with Diamine Blue/Black.

Wonderful pen, @mallymal1! I have not seen another like it until now. I also like the writing sample; looks like the nib is pleasantly flowy and flexy. A dancing nib! 💃

Today's journal pen is a Platinum with an 18K fine nib filled with Diamine Chocolate Brown. I don't know the model or age of the pen - bought in an auction which gave no further information. It looks a like one of the Vicoh ones, but those have things painted on them? I liked this one because it's plain.

There were plain Vicoh models such as the PTL-5000A.

All three seem amazing, @inkstainedruth, thanks for sharing!

Would you perhaps share also photos for the first, and maybe even the second in the list. I saw very diverse overlays used for vintage pens, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a Morrison pen with overlay, especially in (sterling) silver. Thank you.
