What pen(s) are you using today?

I'm using a Waterman Man 200 black. A slightly smallish pen, but that makes it very portable. I always enjoy the very smooth Waterman nibs, the pen writes well with a good constant flow and is very reliable.

A Pinanfarina 2 with a Broad nib and Troublemaker Milky Ocean.

A Japanese Eyedropper with a Posting nib and Thornton's Black Blue.

A Waterman 494 Bay Leaf, dip-tested with Thornton's BB, the nib writes identical to the Japanese Eyedropper and flexes up to a fat Medium (0.9).

Noodler's Cobalt Creaper, flex nib -- slightly diluted Birmingham Pens Herr's Island Ultramarine (I couldn't find the bottle when I wanted to refill it -- and only found it last night while looking for something ELSE (not pen related) that had gone missing....

Parker Dusty Rose Laidtone Duofold, F(?) nib -- vintage Quink Microfilm Black.

Oh and a dying black Sharpie to cross out the bar code and my name and address (and to write "REFUSED -- RETURN TO SENDER" on some stupee political flyer for a candidate that I'm NOT voting for next month which was was telling me to NOT vote for a different candidate in the same race (who I wasn't gonna vote for any more than I am for the first person...).  So looks like I'm running out to the post office tonight or early tomorrow morning to send the cr*p back....

Do you really want to spend your time and money doing that?  In a pandemic?

I'd be content to know they wasted campaign dollars sending it to me, just like when charities send me unasked for freebies and I put them in the "too many dollars not going to programming" category.

Of course, if you like going to the post office, that's a different matter! I dread it and try to avoid it wherever possible. ;)

Yes but mail that is marked "Refused -- Return to Sender"?  The *sender* has to (or at least that USED to be the case) pay the postage a SECOND TIME.... :ninja:

And if I'm running errands (or have other mail to take to the post office) it's not that far out of my way to swing past the main Pittsburgh Post Office and do drive through to stick it in one of the outside boxes.

And I was using the Sharpie while a load of laundry was in the washer AND I was watching something on TV (so, multi-tasking... ).

I'm not sure that is true.  My youngest son lives in California and he's never had to pay postage on anything he's sent that has been returned (I asked).   If so, then your efforts and angst are in vain.

However, I do know an American who received a postage pre-paid envelope in a solicitation from an organization he opposed for ethical reasons.  He taped said envelope to a neatly wrapped house brick and posted it back to the organization.

Today, an F.P.R. Himalaya with a "flex"nib.  Inked with Diamine Kensington Blue.

Very nice pen and nib, @mallymal1.

If you could also check, or maybe you already did: How does the feed keep up with the writing, especially when flexed?

Ok, so this I might actually try when I get junk mail that makes me recoil and wonder why the heck said organization thought I would be open to their solicitations.  But probably not, as my time is valuable, too.

There have been a few times over the years that organization's whose missions are diametrically opposed to my personal beliefs have sent me mail.  On the one hand, I cringe at the thought they thought I would be open to their calls.  On the other, I'm glad they wasted the money as that money is then not being spent on their core missions.

Unfortunately THAT is now illegal, IIRC....  Although the thought is tempting at times....  Especially if sent "postage due"....

My dear friend, @tringle, has put my beloved Eversharp nib into this beautiful Waterman body.

@amberleadavisGreat pen and ink match!

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.
