Is that the Van Gogh homage ink?  I just looked that one up and it's definitely an interesting color....

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

It is. Ever so slightly greyer than the nearest Iroshizuku (Tsuki-yo, probably) and well behaved.

It looks a bit like Visconti's Wheatfield with crows ink. A blue with a hint of black.

Lately I've been increasingly interested in using antiques. Next week I'll be using a Waterman’s 02 and a Flamidor Parisien silver lighter; together they are over 230 years old.

Noodler Ahab, Lapis Blue w/ Diamine Sapphire Blue ink.

I forgot how nice a Noodler's pen CAN be, sometimes.

That sounds like an interesting color, 😀 assuming both are Diamine inks what are the ratios?  Could you post a color sample?

Hey USG, that looks great, the grind and line variation is really nice. Would you mind sharing where you bought it and how the customer service was? I have read that sometimes the nibs can have issues,so I am trying to find a supportive retailer.

Letter-writing day: an amber Kaweco Dia 2 LE, with a Bock 076 <f> architect, inked and Barock 1910 Kaviar. The ink leans a little more brown than violet on cream paper, but I'm okay with that.

Perhaps my phrasing is misleading.

The pen's color is, called, I think, Lapis Blue. The ink is the regular Diamine Sapphire Blue. It has become one of my preferred choices.

In fact, there is a book out there somewhere called, "I Never Metaphor I Didn't Like".

Read it years ago and thought it was pretty good.

For those of us who are into verbal abuse (as well as noun, adjectives, etc.) it nice to have books/aggregations which stimulate our way of using our language.

And the author is Mardy Grothe.

How's that for a play on words?
