Today it's been the Lamy al-Star "Harry Potter Ravenclaw" pen, M, nib -- just refilled with Lamy Vibrant Pink; and one of the India Black Parker Vacumatic pens with the T6 date code (the one which doesn't have someone's name engraved on it), F? nib -- still with vintage Parker Quink Permanent Blue Black.

Eboya

Eboya is a small producer of fountain pens. Some years ago they were using Bock nibs. What has been your writing experience with your Eboya pen?

Well, @USG alerted me to this black Monteverde Strata pen with an Onmiflex nib on sale at Amazon for under $6. I clicked, and today I’m using it with some Monteverde Midnight Black with Pennonia gold shimmer added. No pen picture, but here’s the writing sample:

My Strata was supposed to be delivered today but I see it’s been postponed until tomorrow…. 😟

In the meantime here’s a Moonman TI 200 <EF> w/ Sailor #743.  I’ve been writing on Kokuyo’s new “Thin” paper,  50gsm Report Pad paper.

Today I'm using a Pilot custom 823 in smoke resin, because if I didn't, the ink that's in there for 1½ year (Aurora Black) would crust.

I'm happy to report it hasn't yet, although it's become quite... viscous 🙂

A 1979 Pilot Murex <f> with Namiki Black, which has the finest line of any pen I own, and an unbranded green striped cigar-shaped acrylic pen from the 1990s with an unexceptional Schmidt <m> with a cartridge of J. Herbin Lie de Thé, which I'm eager to finish so I can make room in the desk tray for something else.

Today’s pen is a Pilot Prera Ivory with CB nib filled from a sample of KWZ Scriptus 2017 Confederation Brown ink. The nib came from a set of Pilot Plumix pens with F, M, and B calligraphy nibs.

Platinum 3776 in laurel green (F), with R&K Alt Goldgrun ink. I think matching pen color to ink color is hokey, but this is a coincidence - honest!

Today it's the Shaeffer Connie-Sewer,  I have no idea how to spell it correctly.  Interesting, I stopped in at the Fountain Pen Recycler in Minneapolis a couple of days ago, and what do I see  -  a four foot model of that same pen.  The last time I saw one was years ago in a stationary store in Minneapolis.  They also had a Waterman Man 100 that was about 3 feet long.  I wonder if they got them when that other store closed its doors.

By the way, if you do pass through the Twin Cities, The Fountain Pen Recycler is worth a visit.  They had five or six examples of my grail pen, a Waterman Patrician.  Unfortunately, I had only enough cash on me to buy a couple bottles of ink.

A Pelikan Rose-Copper 200 EF. Loaded with Edelstein Topaz. And that rose gold plating does give it that bit of flair, and it is more sparkley than the picture.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
