Lamy and Parker cartridges last forever. I often will remove the cartridge from one pen to put in another just for some variety.

So it seems. I keep telling myself I should get a Lamy converter, but it looks like the cartridges might actually hold more ink. Maybe a syringe is a better option.

Faber Castell Hexo Rose EF filled with Diamine Rustic Brown. The bown seems to have a pink undertone which pairs it well with the pinkish pen to my eye.

Will work for pens...

A pen for long writing: light and excellent nibs. It will be perfect in a bigger body size.

Great picture of the pen and ink. The ink shading comes through very nicely and shows off what you were describing.

Enjoy!

Today it's mostly been the Parker Vac Red Shadow Wave, F nib, just refilled with its usual -- Waterman Mysterious Blue.

A TWSBI Eco in Lilac I bought a while ago and promptly lost. I found it again and it is now filled with Birmingham Waterfront Dusk

My new Kaweco AL Sport in Deep Red filled with Birmingham Monten Magma

My TWSBI Eco in Yellow filled with Birmingham Ultramarine.

Delta Adolphe Sax Special Limited Edition with 18k M nib and Noodlers Navajo Turquoise. I bought this pen many years ago for a steal; probably because it needed a new sac, although hardly used. I had never replaced a sac before, but managed to do it successfully. It's a lever filler.

I’m using tiny pens today:  Blue marbled Salz Peter Pan with a wonderful flexible EF nib, and a tiny unknown maker stub that I call “Maxine”, due to the engraving on the barrel.

Top 5 (in no particular order) of16 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Parker 45 Deluxe M, Lamy Turmaline

Unknown Chinese Maker A-108 Acrylic Pen M, Diamine Dusted Truffle

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Sheaffer 100 Coffee edition

I just bought one of those, Ron -- should be arriving today. Your impression of it?

And, besides the price what's the difference in the 100 & the VFM versions?

(I sure hope it's not 'Very Fine Men's!!!)

VFM cheaper as noted. Also different is the top and bottom trim on the 100 that the VFM doesn't have and the coffee cup embossed on the cap top. Also, I just liked the look of the 100 better.

An MB 146 from 1990 with a medium nib and Pelikan Königsblau. I know the date because the eBay seller included the receipt for $211, purchased 35 years ago this month in fact. The pen has been impeccably maintained; it literally looks new.
