That ink looks like it will shade well.... 😀👍

Looking forward to seeing your results.

Today it's been the recently restored green/black marble flake Do-Write lever filler, F? nib -- still with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Black; and the Medieval Lapis Noodler's Konrad, flex nib -- still with Noodler's Luxury Blue.

I've been keeping this Montblanc Noblesse inked with De Atramentis Document Cyan.  Maybe I should have wiped the nib off before taking the picture, but it's a working pen, and a little bit of ink stain on there doesn't hurt.  What would have hurt was knocking it on to a tile floor when setting up the picture.  I didn't do it, but came closer than I liked.😧

How do you like De Atramentis Cyan?  I've liked some of their Document line but haven't tried that one.

I was using a gray Parker 61 (M) Mk ll and it suddenly ran dry.

It seemed a bit sudden but I went to "refilled" it.

When I still had no success writing with it , I checked the nib with a loupe and found missing tipping on one tine 😞

The nib is gold IIRC, so it's still worth something, but too expensive to get it repaired. Kind of bummed because I was enjoying the balance and the way the pen wrote. Will probably sell it for $10-15.00 or give it away at our next pen club meeting (February 15th). Guess I will just have to pick another pen (from the VERY many I have, to use in it's place.

BTW, this was the first time something like this has ever happened to me. YMMV, of course.

I had the same thing happen with a Parker Sonnet from 1996.  The tipping on one tine just snapped right off. ☹️

Lamy Safari charcoal with Jinhao 0.3 nib and Lamy black cartridge.  I started writing with this one on 20 November, and just today finally ran the first ink cartridge dry. 😲  At work, so I just popped another cartridge into it to keep going.

Clearly, I don't write as much as some of you do.

What did you play today?

Pilot Custom 742, Pilot/Namiki Purple was my choice for this morning. I’m feeling shimmery for the afternoon.

I am using a TWSBI Eco filled with Birmingham Ultramarine, and my just-delivered-today Kaweco AL Sport in Deep Red filled with Birmingham Molten Magma.

Today I'm using a clear Kaweco Student EF filled with black Pelikan 4001. It was previously inked with Kaweco Pearl Black but wrote anything but extra fine... so I'm trying the Pelikan ink and it does seem to have tamed it.

Will work for pens...

Lamy and Parker cartridges last forever. I often will remove the cartridge from one pen to put in another just for some variety.

LOL, now I can't get Pilot Purple out of my head.  I'm pretty sure you're using the cartridge version because you called it Pilot/Namiki but I'm wondering if it's the same color as Iroshizuku Murasaki-shikibu?  I have both in my cart but I'm not sure which one to get or how much of it I'm going to use. 😀👍  Have you noticed any nuances with that ink?

  It’s this set:

Pilot assorted cartridge packs

I don’t have the Iroshizuku Murasaki-shikibu yet. I meant to add that I will be trying both the 742 and the 9016 on on new papers that I received today under your quote earlier.

I just refilled my Pelikan 120 F.

As an original, it has the 4 longitudinal combs. Pure Pens's Celtic Sea ink.

Down to five other pens in my filled pen cup. Have two pens, an MB Safety Pen, and a Lamy Persona CI in B, in a pen tray....neither gets much use.

Shocking...I am down to my wished 7 pens inked wish........**

I do not want to look at my dirty pen cups. Something to do during the Super Bowl commercials while waiting for a Game Break.

** Won't last long, I want to test MB Joy vs Pelikan Mandarin. OM semi-flex 400 and a W. Germany OM 800. Both pens muttering in stereo at me.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.
