Great Pic.  Good Color. 😀👍

Which pen has which ink?

What were the modifications?  It looks like one is a stub or Italic.

What paper were you writing on?

If only I could write like you..... 🤷‍♂️

The first line of writing is with the Purple, Dark Purple pen which has Woodland Green ink in it. I ground the nib to an Italic.

The second line of writing is the yellow pen with Deep Dark Red ink. I have not tinkered with the nib on this one so it remains a factory fit EF.

Third line is again the Dark Purple pen.

Fourth line is Orange pen which I have ground to a finer Italic. It has Lilac Satin ink in it.

The 5th line of writing is the Turquoise pen ground to a finer italic. It has Poppy Red ink in it.

All of the grinds were done by me and not yet fully completed as yet. I work on them as and when I get the time. Not much else to do to them really just a finishing off polish as such.

The notebook is an Oxford A5 120 page, Optik paper 90gsm

Parker 61, Private Reserve Tanzanite.  "Older" Pilot Elite, 18k soft nib, Pilot Blue Black ink (from a bottle, not a cartridge).

When I inked up the 61 last week, it was just because I hadn't used it in a long time.  My first impression this time around was that it was an okay writer, nothing special, but the more I use it, the more I like it.  The Pilot is not the current version, I got it used some time ago.  I'd thought it had broken a while back, as the converter was wobbling and leaking ink.  But it turns out that the part that the converter or cartridge fits over screws into place and had just come loose.  I was able to tighten it up with the converter, turning it clockwise.  I must have loosened it by turning it the other way at some point.  Nice pen.  Very fine nib, but nice to write with when you get the touch right.

What's the nib on the 61?  I like how my 61s write, but all of them except for the Flighter and the one I got recently at an estate sale developed cracks.  The new one, I'm still flushing up every now and then just to get it started writing (have no idea what the ink in it is); I should remember to do that again tomorrow....

Well, I don't know for sure, but it seems to me to be somewhere in the fine side of medium, a good line width for general writing.  I only have the one 61, so I'll just treat it gently and hope for the best.  And when it's time to put it away and ink something else, I'll have to remember to flush it thoroughly.  After putting in the Private Reserve ink I'd wondered if that was a good choice, but no problems so far.

It's too bad that Parker used the same grade of plastic that they used for pens like the Parker 21.  Because if they had used a better grade?  They might still be on the market today, IMO -- the capillary fill system is brilliant!  (I'm often bemused by the fact that Parker's response to the influx on ballpoints on the market was the 61 -- easiest fill system to use on the planet; while Sheaffer's was the Snorkel -- the most convoluted on the planet....

And don't get me wrong -- I love my Snorkels (they are a really cool fill system, too).

That is a good looking pen. I had the same feeling with my first TWSBI Echo, but it looks like your Asvine even has a larger ink capacity! 😇

I used a couple of Kaweco Sports today, the new piston filler with Diamine Oxford Blue and a Cyan coloured Sport with Diamine Aqua Lagoon (both have small capacity 🙁).

Used to enjoy watching Petey; he lives ~an hour from me -- but he went a li'l too weird for my continued interest.

It actually took me a while to write well with my Lamy.

I was never enamored with the look of the Lamy Safari/AL-Star, and I don't like the look of their nibs.  However, I got a Lamy-style 0.3 nib on a Jinhao 65 that turned out to be exactly what I was seeking.  It writes fantastic.  So, I bought a Safari and transplanted the nib.  It took a bit to get used to the feel of that flat-sided body and triangular section, but it's been my everyday writer at work ever since.  I'm still not fond of the look - I'd much rather be looking at one of my more classic design pens - but it writes exactly how I want a pen to write.  And in the end, that was the goal.
