Today’s pen is a Kaweco Collection Toyama Teal with BB nib filled with Diamine Aurora Borealis ink. They are a good pairing.

Inky fingers this morning cos I switched a few cartridges into different pens. This Sheaffer school pen - 80s I'm guessing - got a half filled cartridge of Diamine Twilight. Fine nib. Bought NOS, first inking. Fantastically smooth nib and such a pleasure to use! The cartridge was in a No Nonsense with a medium nib that was too broad or wet or something, it was going to go to waste... then I thought: swtcheroo. Pleased I did that. The Non Nonsense is in the To Be Cleaned cup.

That ink window really is a clear plastic window, not just a hole in the barrel.  Need not have worried after all.

Will work for pens...

Not too sure that a lot of these will last through the month as I do not fill them up, just 30 - 50% full so I can get through more inks.

Love the Italians,  but have had piston issues with both.  Any problem with your Tibaldi?

I have twin Modello 60s, both with EF nibs. Both were bought used on ebay. Because I have a 100+ pen collection, no one pen sees much use. Both of my Tibaldis fill and write well. They're in the top 10 favorite pens I own. Same with the Novecento Rex.

Eberhard Faber, USA, Permapoint, "Harmo Fine" gold nib. This pen writes beautifully smooth.

I installed a new sac in this pen several years ago using the same type and size that fits an Esterbrook.

Oh, I'll be using more than this today, already have done, in fact.  But for my New Year's day walk, I had this nearly matching set of Parkers in my pocket.  L-R.  Parker Classic (?) ballpoint with Schmidt Easy Flow blue refill, Parker mechanical pencil with 0.9 mm lead.  And of course a fountain pen, Parker 45 with a blue-black Quink cartridge.

I’m back to freely picking the pen of the day. Today’s is the Pilot Metro Pop Houndstooth with CM nib filled from a sample of Montblanc Oyster Gray. Today was full of sunshine, so gray ink seems counterintuitive.

Today it's mostly been my Christmas present pen -- the Lamy al-Star Harry Potter "Ravenclaw", M nib -- which got as its inaugural fill the previously unopened bottle of Lamy Vibrant Pink (I thought that might be a nice color to start out 2025, especially in the Morning Pages journal).

Also used one of the India Black Parker 51 T6 pens, F? nib, still with vintage Quink Permanent Blue; and the purple Pilot Falcon, SF nib, still with Sailor Souboku.  The Falcon will probably get more use tomorrow, since I need to still finish balancing the checkbook, and then also getting some bills paid and in the mail....

I didn't write a single thing today.

What an odd day.

Well, a couple of days ago, I never did an entry in my current morning pages journal.  I had slept in a bit when I was at my sister-in-law's and sort of threw on clothes and scarfed down a bowl of cereal and threw on my coat to walk down to the subway station to go pen & ink shopping in lower Manhattan.  Had thought about tossing the journal into my purse and trying to do pages while waiting for the subway, but got into the station just as one of the lines that I wanted had a train pulling in just as I got down to the the track level.  So glad I didn't have yet another thing in my purse to have to haul around from Midtown to lower Manhattan -- especially since I made a wrong turn getting out of the subway at the second place I was heading to (the Lamy flagship store in SoHo), and walked several blocks the wrong direction and THEN had to pull out my phone and check the route to get over to the street I SHOULD have been on to begin with on the way to the Lamy SoHo store...).

And since I slept in this morning (thought I'd set the alarm but apparently hadn't ) I ended up doing about half of today's morning pages entry in the car down to the New Year's Day party at our friends' house, and finishing the last half page when I got there (inaugurating the the Lamy al-Star "Harry Potter 'Ravenclaw'" pen, M nib, which was my Christmas present; although, I'd really like it if my husband actually bought me something -- instead of me buying my OWN gifts -- for a change...).

Sheaffer 3-25 EF black radite ring top, inked with Sheaffer black. First time using it, a very elegant little pen.

Pelikan M605 Dark Blue with a glorious 2 tone 14c F nib that is on the narrower side of fine. I inked it up with Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone for its maiden voyage.

Top 5 of 26 (in no particular order) currently inked pens:

Sailor 🐧 Mini Pro Gear Slim M, Van Dieman’s Neptune’s Necklace

MontBlanc 144R F, Diamine Bah Humbug

Pelikan M605 F, Pelikan Edelstein Moonstone

Waterman Caréne Black Sea, Teranishi Lady Emerald

Pilot 742 FA, Namiki Purple cartridge

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Monteverde Mountains of the World Vesuvio, F, Monteverde Confidence Blue; I enjoy the interplay between the chatoyance and the veins of "magma".

Waterman Charleston, F, Monteverde Sapphire Blue; my only green pen as I'm not a lover of green in general.

In addition to two blue pens, Santa brought me the Monteverde Bloo collection.

@Arthur Pewty hey! We now have at least two pens in common. My Parker IM Pursuit arrived today. And I have that Monteverde Mountains of the World Vesuvius pen with 1.1mm stub nib. OK truth be told, I have a lot of the Mountains of the World pens. I missed out on the first two I think.

And then there is the name Arthur. It is a name used in my family as first and middle names.

Today it's been the grey Decimo, F nib, still with the as yet unidentified Diamine ink from a estate sale for today's morning pages entry; and the purple Pilot Falcon, SF nib, for getting some bills paid and mailed.

The Tibaldi Modello 60 is empty and cleaned and a Pelikan M760, 150th Jubilee limited edition, with 18k fine nib and Montblanc Noir takes its place.

The AD2000 and Novecento still in use.
