What pen(s) are you using today?

Ah ha! I have a pen already inked I can use for tomorrow that I haven’t used yet in my page a day. And looking at my notebooks where I write pens and inks, I see options!

Today’s pen is a Regal 82 William pen with M nib filled with Pelikan Edelstein Garnet. It was bought in honor of and in the memory of my Papa.

Listening to the always uplifting Lehar’s Merry Widow operetta today got me to dig out my MB Donation pen Johann Strauß with its “ Fledermaus” on the nib.  I expect I’ll be enjoying it along with its namesake ( Strauß’ Die Fledermaus)  in the next couple of week.  I’ve linked a thread by Tom Kellie with some lovely pics of this pen and nib, since any pics I would take couldn’t come close to Tom’s excellent work.

I like your pen holder better than the crab version.

Thanks!  It's actually a carved onyx bull I bought in Mexico many years ago.  It has served many uses such as a decorative sculpture, book end, door stop and now a fountain pen holder.

Today it's been the Vulcan's Coral Noodler's FPC, flex nib, with diluted Noodler's Legal Lapis; and the purple Pilot Falcon, SF nib, still with Sailor Souboku.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I'm away from home and only have these four with me, today it will mostly be the Mb 221. image.thumb.jpeg.e2b43f6c000aa7b9205debf885dc417f.jpeg

I'm not a big MB fan (although I have 6), but I have a 221 and it is a great pen.

Why how thoughtful and generous of you!  :D

In another five years i guess.

A decade ago a local Grand & Toy had an Edson to get rid of for $600 (or around there.) I guess they got foisted with it for a shipment, not the usual inventory.

Didn't have the $$$ or desire at the time, but it's one of my regrets to see it there a dozen times and not buying it.

Today I am using two pens that I haven't inked in ages:

An Eversharp with a medium fine flexible nib

A Conway Stewart 85L

They both have absolutely delicious nibs and I foresee these being in constant rotation in the coming months.

Montblanc 140 1000th anniversary edition

I wouldn't want to think of what they'd charge for that!

Congrats though for reaching a 1000 years; I remember them being around issuing a limited edition on the funeral of our beloved emperor Henry the Second, made of precious resin and silver. 😛
