Pilot Metropolitan CM with a blue Parallel cartridge cos Penguincollector mentioned they have more surfactant than ordinary Pilot ink.

I've found the Pilot calligraphy nibs don't play well with my Clairefontaine notebooks - some inks being better than others, but rarely great. Hmmm... I thought, I have a box of Parallel cartridges somewhere. And yeah, several A4 pages so far, and so much better!

Thankyou.

Will work for pens...

On the occasion of the imminent arrival of the new year - the year of the snake according to the eastern calendar, I filled up my Montegrappa Oriental Zodiac Snake

Morrison Patriot.  Using at home, and taking over to a friend's house later to show them. Diamine Asa Blue ink.  In my pocket, a Parker Jotter fountain pen with a Parker black Quink cartridge.

I've been taking out some pens that I haven't used in years, like that Parker, just...because.

The newly acquired sterling Ciselé Parker 75, F nib -- only it turns out that there's a problem with the nib -- one of the tines has apparently had the tipping broken off, so the pen is very scratchy and I'll either have to try to find a replacement for it or see about serious nib work on it.  Neither of which I was expecting -- or budgeted for....  Which is a shame because I'd inked it up with the MB Great Characters Beatles Psychedelic Purple.

And one of the black Parker 51 Vac with the T6 date code, F? nib, still with vintage Quink Permanent Blue Black....

PM me about a replacement nib. I need to know whether early or late type.

Well I tried to, but my mailbox is apparently full and I don't know how to delete old messages from it.

Don't know the year, per se, but the pen is a US production flat-top (not a dished tassie like on my other sterling Ciselé 75).

Ruth, click on the mail symbol. At the bottom of the messages, there should be a click able link, "Go to inbox". In the inbox there are check able boxes. When you check a box or boxes, there will be a delete option. I won't be able to message you until you delete enough messages to make room.

Well, I eventually figured it out.  Did not realize that I had something like 10 PAGES of old PMs back and forth with people -- some dating back more than a decade....   I don't even remember the conversations at this point.  So several pages of messages JUST got tossed in the trash just now, to clear things out....

We are going out to dinner (Italian restaurant run by a guy from Argentina, but of Italian descent) at 6:00. I'm taking my Pelikan M800 Green/Black stripe with a fine nib. I think fine nibs are best for signing credit card receipts.

A juicy one 😃:

(Notice to whomever chooses to go down the same route: there's a tiny, sneaky, 'undocumented' rubber o-ring which sits between the nib housing and the bottom 'flange' of the section. It likes to pop and go hiding; don't lose it 🙂)

Today's pen is an early Parker 75 Insignia. Flat tassie, narrow cap band marked 1/11 14k G.F. USA, 14k USA F nib in a hash-marked section with "0" mark, blank cartouche on the barrel. It's filled with Colorado Pen Capri Blue.

I'm using a Walltown Pens 'Lumley' model in Violet Abalone. I replaced the nib with a multichrome Wancher nib in Fine that matches some of the peachy-reds in the resin. I have it eyedroppered with Pennonia Tihanyi Lila

@lamarax lots to like in your post; the pen, the ink (great choice) and the writing.

Today, and throughout December, I've been dipping a 1940s Kaweco Dia into Inkvent pots.  My favourites so far are 'Aqua Lagoon' and 'Winterberry'.

The Tuzu came with such a terribly scratchy F nib that I got back to the merchant asking to fix the situation and they in turn got back to Sailor -- waiting to hear back from them now. I'm well aware of 'feedback' in pens and that it's kinda Sailor's trademark, but this level of scratchiness renders the pen unusable in my book.

The merchant resolved the issue to my satisfaction and sent me a replacement pen -- I asked for the M nib this time to minimise the chance of another disappointment, and it writes as it should. Shoutout to stiloestile.com -- I'll be a returning customer there.

You are so kind, thank you! ☺️

Speaking of Kawecos and the Dia in particular, I once came very close to buying a vintage "87" from Tom Westerich, but decided against it since I got my modern rendition 'frankanized' as above with a 14K Bock 076 nib, also with a very juicy ebonite feed 🙂

I absolutely must know whence came the kitty pen holder.

Please and thank you.
