These are the 9 pens I selected this trip.

Glad to see the Kaweco Dia 2 among those. I feel this awesome little pen doesn't often get the attention it deserves.

Agreed.  Using mine this week with Diamine Writer's Blood.

The only one which misbehaved was the burgundy P51 which spat a fair.bit of ink into the lid. All others were fine.

I'm surprised to read you said that -- I've never had that problem with ANY of my 51s.  OTOH, I STILL have Noodler's Heart of Darkness on my fingers from yesterday from using one of the Noodler's Charlie pens to cross off my address and the bar code for some stupee political flyer that came in the mail yesterday (so I could toss it back in the mail as "Refused -- Return to Sender").

Today's pens were the Noodler's Vulcan's Coral FPC, flex nib, with Noodler's Legal Lapis; and the purple Pilot Falcon, MF nib, still with Sailor Souboku....

I'm interstate at the moment.  These are the 9 pens I selected this trip.

I take two pens at the most when I travel.  Both are inked with the same ink (Diamine Oxford Blue).  I also pack a small bttle of the same ink.

The wisdom of packing light (the necessities and a few 'comforts') has been thoroughly engrained in my psyche by decades of domestic and international travel.

I tend to bring more than just one or two for trips, because I never know which pen/ink combo I'm going to want to use on any given day on the trip.

That stash of course expands if I'm going to a pen show, because I'm often bringing along pens that need to be rehabbed....

Of course, I just realized I haven't used Oxford Blue in a while (not, of course, that I've even TRIED most of the recent ink aquisitions... :headsmack:).

I’ve never tried that ink. I’d describe the J Herbin ink as a non-shading blue ink. It’s very easy to read. I’m glad I have the tiny bottle of it, because I’m not as happy with non-shading inks as I am with shading inks.

@USG I like the ink and the pen in your photo. Hurray for the stub nib!

I took my Kyoto Travelers Notebook and True Writer Kyoto with Edison 1.1mm italic nib to the library. I thought it would be nice to stay longer after I picked up the books I put on hold. I looked up in the two notebooks I brought, the memories I wanted to write somewhere else, and wrote about them in the insert that came with the Kyoto TN.

At home, I’m using the DeLike New Moon in green marble that I put a Nemosine 1.1mm stub nib on. It writes beautifully. I had to refill it with Diamine Eau de Nil as I was writing my page a day.

Ive been experimenting more with the Platinum 3776 Century.  It had been writing nicely---I really like very much how it presents my cursive.--BUT--

it had been faint and rather what I'd call dry.  So today I held the pen slightly rotated counter clock wise...and lo and behold...more prominent wetter ink.

Put a photo of my currently inked 6 pens in the photography section of the forums.

Enjoying a 4 day weekend here.

That's a good way to counter hard starting due to "baby's bottom" with some pens as well...

Have a nice long weekend 👍

Today it's been the recently acquired Parker 45 (Dark Blue/Midnight, F nib) with vintage Quink (Permanent I think) Violet.

Well, I only have two hands and can only write legibly with the left onn.  And, I tend to lose things.
