I inked up my Pilot Falcon with SM nib to remember what a Pilot soft nib is like.

Laguna Niguel, California.

I used the Conway Stewart Belliver and the Onoto Scholar, but I will use this later.  (See latest impulse acquisition for details.)

Karas Kustoms Ultem Decograph with a "Smith Todd, New York, 1858" dip pen nib. This is truly the weirdest Frankenpen I've ever created. The nib housing is for Bock 250 nibs while the feed is for Pelikan M400 nibs. I put a small piece of zip tie under the feed to hold the nib and feed in place, wrapped the end section of the feed with Teflon tape to prevent too much air-ink exchange, and made a clear overfeed from toothbrush packaging. The result is not the most good-looking pen, but hey, if it works, it works.

Today’s pen is the TWSBI Classic in Sapphire Blue with 1.1mm stub nib filled with Colorverse Sea of Tranquility. I used it on a day the Royals played in the Wildcard round, and they won. Now what pen I use has nothing to do with a team winning. But they are playing today.  So are the Chiefs.

Today it's been the newly re-inked pink (I think the color is called "Vulcan's Coral") Noodler's FPC, flex nib, with Noodler's Legal Lapis; and the purple Pilot Falcon, SF nib, still with Sailor Souboku.

Today was an Aurora Optima with a stub nib and a custom made Parker 51 by BrownFoxPens that is just gorgeous….I would post a photo but that would require me to get up from my chair which is not an appealing prospect right now.

I get that, likely for a different reason. I’m flipping between two channels watching primarily the KC Chiefs, and the KC Royals in the ALDS.

I’m in the middle of testing paper so I’m using lots of different pens: Sheaffer Compact II B, Sheaffer Fashion II M, Reform M, Osmiroid Copperplate,  Pilot Lightive CM, 2 stubbed Nonami Chinese piston fillers, plus a few more found in my signature below.

Top 5 of 19 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Sailor x Daimaru Central Rockhopper Penguin PGS mini, Sailor Wonder Blue

Salz Peter Pan 18k gold filled filligree fine flex, Waterman Serenity Blue

Pilot Silvern Dragon IB, Iroshizuku Kiri-Same

Wahl-Eversharp Skyline F Flex, R&K “Blue-Eyed Mary”

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Well, it's just Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki. Maybe I tuned the saturation of the photos a little too much, but I think Kon-Peki does have a very beautiful blue color.

I was a little surprised to see that it was Kon-peki, because I think of that ink being a little more turquoise-leaning.

That's quite an arsenal of Stylos you have there PGC... 😀👍

Great work and what a wonderful result!  You inspired me to ink up my Pilot 912 with FA nib and FNF ebonite feed.   I went with Kon Peki and while it’s great the flex is nowhere near your creation!

Today’s pen is the Levenger True Writer Kyoto the second with an Opus 88 B nib. I cleaned it out, then filled it from a sample of Robert Oster African Gold ink.
