Here, they are the same as yesterday.  Well just for random work notes I use a Cross roller ball in camouflage barrel.

I did take some better pics with the R6M2 and a quick LR edit.  And this morning I ordered a 4th pen.

Wow, when you start on something you really go big. Nice choices - looking forward to your next purchase.

@yubaprof, thanks...it should be a Platinum---don't think it will be here as quickly as last purchase, because the vendor is a fairly slow-moving shop in Hong Kong.

Been of the buy quality mind set as far as I can remember.  Even at 12 years old, a regular stamp album wouldn't do, had to have the HE Harris "Citation", a behemoth.

And even now when I buy a year set of Czech stamps I make custom album pages and purchase a nice binder from Leuchtturm (Lighthouse).

I did actually have a Huffy the first year I was into cycling to make sure I liked it.  Then--sigh--off to Treks, Stumpjumpers, Scotts, Pivots, Orbeas, and even custom frames from Italy.

May as well enjoy what one partakes in.

I had a Twist. I gifted it because I couldn't grip it correctly since I'm lefthanded. That was all my fault despite the pen's great ergonomics.

I appreciate just how poor my schoolboy like handwriting is as I look at your writing on that page.

Pink Faber-Castell Essentio ballpoint with a Caran D'ache black Goliath refill.

Nice pen, removed the clip to make it a better writer.

2 pens in use that are not obviously made for a Goliath.

May I ask details about that beautiful blue case you have there? Is it from Galen leather?

@lamarax  Yes, I think it was 89 US $ which included engraving. Slots for 10 pens and an A5 notepad.

Today’s pen is a Levenger True Writer Oceanic Blue with M nib filled with Diamine Mediterranean Blue. I’m using blue pens while the KC Royals are playing in the post season. They last played in the post season in 2015.

Today it's been a couple of Parkers:

Vector "Flowers", M nib -- still with J Herbin Vert Empire.

51 Vac, black, F? nib -- still with vintage Quink Permanent Blue Black.

And last night, but technically slightly after midnight, also the Pilot Falcon, purple, SF nib -- still with Sailor Souboku (since I had to write checks to get some bills in the mail today.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I am of the same mind. Instead of having several dozen inexpensive or mid-range pens I prefer to have just a few from the higher-end range. I regularly travel to Spain to visit relatives and friends and I notice that they do not have closets full of clothes, but instead have a few of very good quality. It seems like everything they do is of that mentality and I think it has rubbed off on me over the years - a few things of very good quality rather than many of lower quality. Personal wealth does, of course, establish a limit and one must be prudent, but I prefer having one $1,000.00 pen rather than ten $100.00 pens. I know some will consider me snobbish, but that's their problem and not mine.

I finally finished the cartridge in my Parker IM Monochrome Blue F this morning. I also used my navy blue Pilot Lightive with a CM nib inked with Private Reserve Tanzanite with Wearingeul Silver Shoes added, and my MB 144 IB with Herbin Orange Indien with Wearingeul Frost on a sheet of 120 gsm coloring paper with zentangle penguins printed on it.

Top 5 of 25 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Waterman’s 52V red ripple ring top, Herbin Vert de Gris

Parker 88 Place Vendôme IB, Diamine Golden Sands

Parker “51” Desk pen EF, Sailor Manyo Konagi

Yiren Giraffe IEF, Pilot Yama-Guri/sky blue holographic mica

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

There was a time, and a goodly amount of it, when economics meant that the pens I could afford were the Platignums offering found in the local newsagents.  In those 'lean times' I usually only had one pen at a time.

As with all things, that has (Thanks be to God.) that has changed.  Now, I can and do indulge myself and buy Conway Stewart's offering (new &vintage), and those of Onoto (new & vintage).

Onoto and CS pens are considered 'pricey'.  In my opinion, the quality  of the worksmanship and that of each pen makes them worth it.

It's just me, but I would rather pay for and have only one pen - quality pen be it a CS, Onoto, or whatever - to use than pay the same amount for a dozen 'so-so' pens.  This in some way be a carry-over from the past.

I'm just the opposite. I caught the pen-collecting bug about 5 years ago, my introduction posting explains how. Now I have about 100 pens. Only 5 cost over $300, such as the King of Pen and the MB149, and none as much as $400. Nearly half of them I bought for less than $100, many for less than $50. I've picked up some amazing bargains here and there, like a Waterman Carene for $120 or an Italix Parson's Essential for $50, both new. Most of my pens are not showpieces, but each has some characteristic that makes it interesting, to me anyway, so that I'm glad I bought it. At $15 the Jinhao 1935 Long March isn't made of exotic materials, but it looks like no other pen, and that's enough to earn it a place in my collection. Likewise with the Waterman Harley Davidson and the Monteverde One Touch Tool. Some I chose because they're less common makes like Elysee or Recife or Ferme. I guess I would say my objective as a collector has been not quantity or quality, but variety.

Took notes today with a cadre of my favorites: an MB 149 with a Masuyama broad cursive italic, a Pelikan M1000 with a Masuyama broad cursive italic, and a Porsche Design Tecflex Broad nib.  All of them are broad, wet, and smooth.  20 pages of writing and no cramps.  Took a few more notes with a Pilot Elabo with an SF nib - not on the same level as the others but still fun.

Each of us has our preferences and we each like to roll our own way, but I would be overwhelmed by so many pens. I have about two dozen and have a difficult time using all of them regularly and I use at least one every day. So now I'm curious. How do you keep track of 100 pens? How do you decide which to use each day? No judgement on my part, like I said, just curious.
