TL;DR: I spent a good part of today cleaning up a vintage Kaweco Dia 803. The pen works now fine, but my fingers are riveted and dipped in teal ink. I'm very happy. The pen doesn't seem to object.

Figure 1. The Kaweco Dia 803 pen relaxes after extensive soaking and dipping.

Figure 2. After some relaxation, the 14K M nib shows there's something to talk about.

More pictures appear in OldTravelingShoe's Random Pics of European Fountain Pens. There's a pic of the nib and the Kaweco seal on the cap finial and another of the green ink window, body until the 803 engraving, and clip profile

Very nice.

Looks like there's some line variation. Is it a soft nib?

Here it's a grey autumn day which I think is beautiful, but is still enhanced by a colourful pen: a Kaweco Perkeo 'Bad Taste', fine nib, filled with a long cartridge of Jacques  Herbin Noir Abyssal.

Will work for pens...

@AmandaW  How is that in bad taste?

Bexley Owners' Club Orange. The photos don't capture, this pen isn't just orange, it is NEON orange.

Exactly! I rather like all the Kaweco Perkeo colours. Especially the early mix-up ones like this "Bad Taste'' the watermelon pink on it almost glows in the dark. And the 'Indian Summer' (which, to my eye, perfectly matches Iro Ina-ho), Old Chambray, Cotton Candy... yes. I went into collector mode and now have one of each.

Will work for pens...

Is that a special version of the Kaweco Dia?
