What pen(s) are you using today?

A Smug Dill

A blue Lorelei 667 filled with Montblanc's Vincent ink. It writes a bit dry and the colour too bright for me. I will write it empty ASAP and have Diamine Twilight in mind to try next. (I have been using a purple Lorelei 667 filled with Diamine Vivaldi for years... chef's kiss... love it.)

Will work for pens...

I have been using my new Flexible Nib Factory/ Fountain Pen Revolution Chrome Ultraflex nib. I replaced the stub I have in my Brute Force Designs pen with it (which is lovely, but it’s the only pen I have that uses this size nib assembly) and added a bit more glitter potion to the Herbin Lie de Thé in the converter, and it’s a nice combination.

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Salz Peter Pan 18k gold filled filligree fine flex/ Waterman Serenity Blue

Brute Force Designs resin pen FNF ultraflex, Herbin Lie de Thé/Wearingeul Emerald Castle

Pilot Silvern Dragon IB, Iroshizuku Kiri-Same

Wahl-Eversharp Skyline F Flex, R&K “Blue-Eyed Mary”

So far today, it's been the Parker Vector "Fleur" pen, M nib, still with J Herbin Vert Empire.

Did you grind your nib yourself, or have it worked on by someone? I have a Pro Gear Slim MF that I was just wondering if it could be ground italic and then I stumbled upon your post.

No.  Sent it out for the grind. .  Don't mind mangling grinding a steel nib myself, but prefer haveing someone more qualified for the gold.  But occasionally they mangle them too.

Add lightness and simplicate.

Have been using the MK1 Duofold Centennial for several days but last night and today I had to bust out the giant Laban MOP flat top as well. This pen is just so much dang fun with its big ole broad 18K nib. You can see the shading it provides with iroshizuku shin-kai in this case. The red is very faint to the naked eye, you have to get the light to hit it just right, but really shows up in photos. Photo next to the Duofold Centennial so you can see just how big this pen is!

Ooh.  Haven't used that ink for a while....

Thanks for reminding me I have a bottle of that!

The newly arrived Conway Stewart Belliver.  The name as the maker tells, is in honour of the location of the factory back in the day.

It is number 15 of a limited edition, and has a broad nib.

Pictures to follow.

I am not a good photographer, but as promised, a photo:

Still using a TWSBI ECO broad with Diamine Sherwood Green and just filled up a Pilot Custom 823 Amber with a broad with Pelikan Turquoise.

Also carrying a Lamy 2000 multi-pen when needed.

Ranga 149 F.  Diamine Prussian Blue.

That is to say a custom Ranga Majestic Ebonite eye droppper; shorter barrel, no rings, no clip, Bock 380 threaded, FNF Bock BM149E housing, MB 80s 14k 149 F nib.

Add lightness and simplicate.

I’m still getting to know my new Flexible Nib Factory x Fountain Pen Revolution Ultraflex nib that I paired with my Brute Force Designs resin pen.

I am also using an extra fine metal Chinese pen with an arrowhead style nib that is super smooth. I syringed what was left of an extremely old Platignum cartridge out of the pen it was in (those cartridges are huge, it was 1 mL) and mixed in some Wearingeul Brain rose gold shimmer, and filled the converter for this slender pen.
