Today it's going to be an Ulpia Desierto. This is a pen produced by a taller (small shop) in Asturias, Spain. Production seems to be limited, but of high quality and distinctive.

What a difference a day makes.  From midcentury modernism to wabi sabi…IMG_7930.thumb.jpeg.03836e37863de1667605ecfd546fd29f.jpeg

Pilot Custom Enjyu.  I love the irregularities in the wood.  I’ve heard some woodworkers call them “angels’ marks”.

Beautiful. Something nice about the look and feel of a wooden pen.

So far today it's been the Parker Vector "Electra" (black with striped pattens in different colors), F nib, with Diamine Green Edition No More Sleep (today's morning pages journal pen); and the Pelikan M205 Blue Black, EF nib, still with Pelikan 4001 Blue Black (had to write some bills to get mailed today).

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Onoto Magna of course.

I've decided to give the Onoto pens a holiday when the Magna runs dry and give a few Conway Stewarts a workout.  I'll start with the medium nib Churchill.  I might even lose all reason and change inks to Tudor or Kensington Blue (Diamine of course) in place of my beloved Oxford Blue.

Have I lost my mind?!

With all the hurricane nonsense I finally got some extended use with this new to me Merlin 33. What a wonderful writer this diminutive little pen is. Writes far above its weight 😁
