Shouldn't you use a Pelikan to write about birds?

Well, this was a Pilot week so vermillion Custom 845 and WA nib 743 went to office with me this week. But. My intern for this year saw my Sailor 1911L last week. Showed up Monday with the attached. It was his grandfather’s. Cleaned it for him today, he chose kon-peki ink, and he got to use his grandfather’s pen today. He loved it, I believe we have a new recruit. I don’t know a lot about the brand so I was glad to see discussion a few pages back. I was very impressed, I see a Duofold in my future.

Today I was in a pen store and we were 5 clients at the same time,I was thrilled to notice that 4 of them were very young, late teens or early twenties. Maybe your intern will be one of the fountain pen lovers' renewals.

Show and tell works wonders. I have one employee who just hit 50 and is up to four FP now since trying mine. One of the other interns wandered in while we were cleaning up the Duofold and wants to try one of mine when she’s back in. My newest hire showed some interest. We’ll get her hooked before too long 😉

Today I took my Parker 180  M/XF flighter with me to the vet’s office to make copious notes on the health of my three parrots.

Obviously that's nothing to squawk about.

Although I am a bit curious as to whether they could speak for themselves?

They don’t talk, but they communicate pretty well. They are “senior “ cockatiel hens at 19, 18, and 12, and one is blind, so their care can be complicated sometimes.

Today is yet another day of trying to write my TWSBI Eco 1.1 stub dry- that feed holds at least as much ink as a Kaweco mini converter, I swear. The De Atramentis Columbia Blue-Copper ink is stunning, and I haven’t bought a bottle yet, so I’ll enjoy it.

I’m using two. One is a Kaweco Sport Apricot with B nib and a cartridge of Kaweco Sunrise Orange. The other is a Levenger True Writer Oceanic Gray with M nib filled with Faber-Castell Garnet ink.

I had one in yellow that I gave away.  A delicate, but great little pen.
