Shading inks today, Sailor Manyo Nekoyanagi, Diamine's Celadon Cat and a brown mixed experimental ink. Though the Nekoyanagi subtle blue and green shading seems lost in the photo. Pens Mabie Todd Swan 3350, Wahl Eversharp Skyline and Montblanc No12.

Did an early morning journal entry with my Asvine V126. I've been so impressed with Asvine in general.

I'll see your "nice" and raise to VERY nice.

Took my Cross 2021 "Year of the Ox" pen (see my post on June 7th) to the "Club de Prensa" TV program (NTN24) today.  I made sure to gesticulate with it in my hand while I was making a point.  It's such a beautiful pen!

On a sidenote, I regret that this year Cross did not put out a Chinese Horoscope special edition as a fountain pen.  I went to Fahrney's today, after the show, and there the manager assured me that they would bring back the fountain pen in the future.  He claimed that the Cross had so many problems with its Chinese suppliers because of Covid, but that they would get that straightened out and bring back the fountain pen for the horoscope special editions in the future.  I hope that's the case!

Leonardo Officina Italiana Mosaico Anemone "F" nib running Diamine Autumn Oak

Shouldn't you use a Pelikan to write about birds?

Seems like I just saw this somewhere else…😀

how is the nib? As nice as ever? Smooth, very soft, and about 4x wetter than a nib ever needs to be?

Well, this was a Pilot week so vermillion Custom 845 and WA nib 743 went to office with me this week. But. My intern for this year saw my Sailor 1911L last week. Showed up Monday with the attached. It was his grandfather’s. Cleaned it for him today, he chose kon-peki ink, and he got to use his grandfather’s pen today. He loved it, I believe we have a new recruit. I don’t know a lot about the brand so I was glad to see discussion a few pages back. I was very impressed, I see a Duofold in my future.

I love mine, been using it consistently since 1991. I recently had it ground into a very crisp italic medium and it is a gorgeous writer. Get one!
