@USG ah, The Rocky Horror Picture Show featured in your writing sample. Nice mini review on that pen and ink combo.

Haha,   Planet Schmanet Janet ! 🤣

Not nearly as good as your minis ...  😁

Funny, the lyric snippets that stick in your mind... 😱

Jinhao 9019 (M) w/ Iroshizuku Shin-Ryoku (green) ink.

Just got it yesterday and I am very impressed with the smooth writing nib.

Hey @Gloucesterman

Gotta love those Jinhao #8s.  😀👍

I wanted to ask you about the Shin-Ryoku.  Is it bright green or dark when it pools?

Would love to see a sample...  😀

More of a bright green, rather than dark green.

As for a sample, I don't have access to working camera at the moment. An online search yielded pretty accurate writing samples imo.

Have you checked the ink reviews here on FPN. Definitely worth viewing.

Today is journaling at my favorite coffee shop day.  And I’m a bit OCD with color coding sections.  So it’s a list of pens.

1.  Lamy 2000 - Black - piston - Fine - Diamine Imperial Purple

2.  TWSBI Kai Limited Edition - Blue Flecked - Piston - Fine - Diamine Ultra Green

3.  Visconti Homo Sapiens Bronze Age - vacuum - fine - Noodlers black

4.  Pilot Custom 823 Amber - vacuum - medium - Pilot Blue Black

5.  Souveran M800 Special Edition Brown - piston - fine - Diamine Saddle Brown

6.  Visconti Opera Gold Blue - vacuum - Fine - Noodlers Poppy Red

Today's journal pen is a Lamy Safari White with Black clip with a fine nib and Lamy Black ink.

@AmandaW you are so talented artistically. You did a great job crocheting your pen holder.  🤍

My pen of the day is the Kaweco Lilliput Fireblue with M nib.

So - how do you like it?  I have one too and I'm not sure what I think about it.

@langere I feel similarly. I didn’t realize how truly small the Liliput is. I don’t have large hands, so I can use it. It’s also a slender pen. It can be a challenge.

Do you use yours?

A few years ago I saw Russell Crowe on a late night talk show (maybe an episode of The Tonight Show), and they'd found photos of him in a production of The Rocky Horror Show (the stage version), in the dual roles of Eddie and Dr. Scott (since, of course, you never see them together) done in, IIRC, New Zealand!  And of course he was just cringing and basically going, "OMG -- where did you find that?  And WHY?"

Had the pleasure of meeting David Oscarson yesterday, looking at his beautiful pens, and writing with his Deus Regit with medium nib. Wonderful. Marred that experience in the evening by inking up the Glauco Cambon M600 I gave my wife for her birthday Friday and the black tortoise M605 I’d been saving for when I gave her hers. More on that later. Salvaged the weekend today by inking up a newly acquired clear/gold and nicely tuned Sailor 1911L with MF nib today. Enjoyed it so much I inked up my matching clear and gold 1911S with MF nib. Both with Sailor souboku. For giggles took out my black and silver trimmed Pro Gear with fine nib to compare to the 1911L. Nibs on the Sailors are so good it almost cured my irritation over the two new Pelikans. Almost, I say. Almost.

I’m using a Platinum Preppy collaboration with SouSou in the blue marbles pattern with a F nib and blue ink Platinum cartridge. It’s close to empty.

I haven't in quite a while.  I have been thinking of taking it on my research trips, but always end up taking another one.

Also, I confess, I bought a copy sight unseen from Massdrop (in 2016) and did not think the colors were as pretty as it showed on the promotional material.

Today: A 1940s Parker Vacumatic <EF>. I just filled it with A Night in Jodhpur.

The nib is quite stiff, but it writes nicely.

Matte black, clipless Ranga Asa.  Closest thing to an Oldwin.

Senior moment:  actually an Asa Nauka, ebonite brushed matte.
