Today it's been:

1) vintage BHR Waterman Ideal ringtop (not sure of the nib width, but guessing F) -- Waterman Absolute Brown.

2) Peter Parker Press "Falling Blossoms" F(?) -- diluted J Herbin Eclat de Saphir.

3) Lamy al-Star Azure SE, M nib -- Lamy Pink Cliff.

Today’s pen is the TWSBI Diamond Mini AL Mint Blue with 1.1mm stub nib. It has J Herbin Violette Pensee ink in it. It is running out. I’ll flush it, and fill it with Diamine Soft Mint. I’ve used that ink in it before, and it’s easy to read.

I ordered the TWSBI Diamond Mini AL Silver, and tracking shows delivery on Monday. So I’m using my three other Diamond Mini pens as the pens of the day.

I have been running around doing various errands and chores, and my blue Schneider BK 406 EF inked with Diamine Jet Black has hung out with me throughout. I love school pens!  I am trying to decide what Parker to put some Quink Blue in and use for the first time: Jade Lady Duofold or Falcon.

Top 5 of 25 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Sailor Mini Pro Gear Slim M, Van Dieman’s Neptune’s Necklace

Waterman’s 52V red ripple ring top, Herbin Vert de Gris

Parker 88 Place Vendôme IB, Diamine Golden Sands

Wing Sung 698 SF, Pelikan Edelstein Golden Lapis/ Sapphire

With the Northern Pen Show only a month away I really didn't want an impulsive buy at this moment but, in this case, resistance was futile.  A Pineider La Grande Belleza gemstone in Rodolite Red.  Nib originally broad, now custom ground by Pendleton Brown into a BLS (Butter Line Stub/Italic).  Shipped from Tuscon, Arizona to Shropshire in less than 38 hours courtesy of UPS.

[Edit]  Oops - thought I was on "Impulsive Pen Acquisitions." My bad.

You may want check out Amazon (AU) for a Muji pen.

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, there are sellers who aren't either MUJI or Amazon itself offering MUJI Aluminium fountain pens on Amazon; the cheapest one isn't asking for much more than the Australian retail price, actually.

In view of my upcoming trip to Osaka, though, I think I'll first see if I can pick up a handful of them at retail price (but tax-free) if I come across them in a MUJI store; that'd cost two-thirds of the current lowest asking price on Amazon AU, and I'm really in no hurry.

I ordered two last year from Amazon Japan when the going was good (and before MUJI increased the product's retail price in the Japanese domestic market), kept one for myself, and sent the other to a friend here in Australia. It's really only because she seems to like it so well — and that all the offers on Amazon.co.jp for it seems to have dried up since — that I have this nagging regret for not having bought more when I could, strictly for the purpose of prospective ‘penabling’. The truth is I have hundreds of pens here from which I can easily choose something to suit the individual when ‘penabling’ friends, from one-tenth the price of a MUJI Aluminium to (over) ten-fold its price, so it's just my irrational compulsion to build up a huge hoard of known-good pens speaking. It's just as well I'll have another few weeks to mull it over.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Hm, I am also leaning toward that one. I didn’t get to it last night but will do so today.

That's quite a switchl 'D'.  From an M800 to a M101N.  😀

Of course CluelessMe didn't know what the Lizard version looked like so I had to look it up like I did for MsFit's Duragraph.

Wow, what a nice compact beautiful pen that is.  Of course I immediately wanted one... 🤪

Great little pens! I'm surprised they aren't more popular. I suppose most people buy the vintage version instead.

Yesterday was my Pelikan M101N Gray Blue with a fine nib filled with the Pelikan's 4001 Konigsblau that came with it. Another superb writer.

Today's my one and only Pelikan limited edition pen: my Pelikan Originals of Their Time Jade with a broad nib filled with Noodler's American Eel Green Cactus. I bought this one used and it may still need some nib work. The piston and everything else seems to have survived okay, except for the ebonite piston knob that is a bit faded. New pens have really spoiled me this year.

Haha, I had to look that one up too....  Another beautiful pen I wasn't aware of...

But you got me thinking.  I thought I had one of those little black Pelikans somewhere, so I looked all around and discovered a M150 that I accumulated somewhere in the early 2000s.  I don't think I ever used it.  I just stuck it in a pen cup and it disappeared below the rim.  The nib was frozen with dried ink so I brought it back to life enough to unscrew the nib and fill it with water, which is now dissolving the dried ink in the barrel.

@DilettanteG Please let me know how the Noodler’s American Eel Green Cactus dries on the page for you. I had a sample of it that went in a TWSBI Diamond 580 with 1.1mm stub. It took a very long time to dry on Levenger  paper.

My pen of the day is a TWSBI Diamond Mini in white and rose gold version 2 with 1.1mm stub nib. It has Nemosine Alpha Centauri ink in it.

If I may butt in, I like the Noodler’s American Eel Green Cactus, but find that the ink really feathers a lot.
