A Parker Duofold Super 17.  I've been looking for a pen made in 1965 that's reasonably attractive (which I know is subjective), easy to maintain and suitable for everyday use.  I think this fits the bill, but I will, of course, continue looking.

Why 1965? Parker 75.

@Mangrove Jack I was born in 1965.  I have been looking at 75s.  Some are a bit fancy for my tastes, but if I see the right one I probably buy it.

I have a trifecta inked up today, 3 is generally the most I ever have actively inked.

--Pilot Metal Falcon, black, F nib, with Aurora Black.

--Pineider La Grande Bellezza Rocket Red, with Namiki Blue

Pelikan M800 brown striped, F, filled with Iroshizuku Yama-guri. For highlights I am using an M200 Gold Marble, F, filled with (now precious) Iroshizuku Ina-ho.

What's the nib on the 743 Verdigris? I had one in my cart (with an FA nib) on Fountain Pen Day and by the time I clicked "buy" they were out of stock. Really irritated me and I could not even back order it and wait....🤬🤬

So far, it's been the red Sheaffer school pen, F? nib, with Monteverde Ocean Noir.  Finally the weather cooperated yesterday and it was bright and sunny enough to finish my testing of the ink (which has a tendency to get very dark and saturated in that pen if it doesn't get used regularly).

Last night I refilled the Gold and Black SE al-Star with Robert Oster Astorquiza Rot, and now that it seems to have quit snowing and the sun has come back out, I may try to finish testing that ink (I am SOOOO far behind, and have inks that I've had samples of for 6-8 years (and possibly some even LONGER!) that I've never even tried... :headsmack:).

Parker 75 Sterling Silver Cisele' - IMO one of the best looking pens.

No argument from me on that.  I got mine at a decent but not stellar price on eBay after being massively outbid on one with an F nib -- (I'd seen one at an estate sale the previous winter but didn't know enough about the model to know if $100 US was a good price or not).  Spent most of a pen show that fall going around to every table that had one (or more) to educate myself -- but of course the $75 ones were long gone when I got back to those tables....  When I saw the one I ended up getting, I was waffling about how much to put as a maximum bid, but then realized that NOBODY was looking at that listing but me (!) and got it for the minimum plus tax and shipping -- so more than the one I'd seen originally, but still nearly fifty bucks less than the one I'd been outbid on).

I don't remember what thread I'd seen the first Ciselé 75 in, but knew from the get-go that I wanted one (I'm a complete sucker for sterling silver in general).  Funnily enough, I've seen images of other 75s and they just don't wow me the way that model does (even other sterling ones).  And normally I would have thought that the grid engraving wouldn't have interested me at ALL...  Go figure....  Maybe because of the one I *didn't* get, after freezing my butt standing in line for over an hour at that estate sale (the line was up the driveway, down to the corner and around the block, and then when the doors opened the "pickers" were going in, grabbing stuff, putting it out on the lawn and then going back in -- and they were ONLY letting a few people in at a time since it was a "hoarder house".  I got lucky in that the pens were in a display case on a couple of sawhorses next to the cashier's table -- never GOT in the house to see the spinning wheel that was also there (a friend of mine who lives in the town where that sale was actually called me to TELL me about the sale -- she said it was the home of some former mayor they'd had) -- because she figured I'd be interested in the wheel as well as the pens.  But by the time the doors opened at 8 AM I thought I was going to have frostbite in my toes, it was so cold -- and the woman in line in front of me sent her husband back to the car to get her another layer to put on over what she was ALREADY wearing -- a coat over at least a couple of sweaters.

Sailor Uchimizu with a fine nib and Sailor Blue Black. Love the nib on this pen. It was perfect the first time I used it and continues to please. I'm beginning to think I enjoy Sailor steel nibs more than the gold!

Will work for pens...

These two, which finally arrived in an "express"-parcel from the UK yesterday. 14 days in transport sounds abnormal, unless they were using rowboats.

I see you're still getting some feathering on that notebook :( On both sides of the pages?

And how's Doyou doing for you now?

Today's journal pen was a purple Jinhao 86 filled with van Dieman's Sweet Fig. Yes, it's  a cheapy pen, but I find it very comfortable in the hand, it writes well and has never dried out. Yeah, I'm now getting some more in other colours.

Will work for pens...
