Day 2 of 30 using a Sailor Shining Blue 14k EF with Sailor Blue Black. I have been using it for very short notes in a commonplace book for several months but haven't enjoyed it - it's  not scratchy, but is too dry for me and I don't feel in control. I'm intending to use it for everything - journal, drawing, doodling for 30 days to see if it can settle in and/or I get the hang of it... so far, not fun.

Sailor inks being wet and lubricated, it should work.

I have one Sailor EF (a Sapporo) and it was fine.  Have you looked at it under a loupe, or could you get the seller to replace it?

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Mabie Todd Swan 4260, Diamine Onyx Black.  Going old school.

Today it's been the recently rehabbed Parker Blue Laidtone Duovac Senior(?), F nib (I think) -- Waterman Audacious Red (figured that it was a cheap way to try the ink, but finding I'm not overly enamored of the color); and the Pelikan M205 Blue Marbled, M nib -- still with Pelikan 4001 Blue Black.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I’ve used four. They are a Travelers Company Factory Green brass pen with black ink cartridge, an Edison Beaumont in Molten Ores filled with Diamine Ancient Copper, a Pilot Elite in burgundy with a Pilot ink black cartridge, and a Kaweco AL Sport Iguana Blue filled with Kaweco Paradise blue.

I have been told it's Emerald Green

Is far as I know, Emerald Green is not an official 51 color (see Parker51 and ParkerPens). On the photo it looks so dark green, I at first thought it was a forest green, but that color was first introduced for the Aerometric version.

I know.  I had thought that it was Nassau Green, but a pretty well known collector told me it was actually Emerald Green.  I suppose NOW, I need to find a Nassau Green to confirm that.  🙄

There are plenty of Nassau 51s available, but a double jewel emerald green 51 would be a a very special pen. Can you provide more detailed pictures? I know people have modified aerometrics barrels into jeweled pens with an end cap. It is skilled work, so I would be curious on the craftsmanship.

I’m using a blue Parker 45 Arrow with a M octanium nib, inked with a modern permanent blue Quink cartridge. It’s writing in a funny color, so I must not have flushed it completely clear.

Top 5 of 19 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Sailor x Daimaru Central Rockhopper Penguin PGS mini, Sailor Wonder Blue

Parker 88 Place Vendôme IB, Diamine Golden Sands

Salz Peter Pan 18k gold filled filligree fine flex, Waterman Serenity Blue

Pilot Silvern Dragon IB, Iroshizuku Kiri-Same
