Day 23 of 30 with a Sailor Snowmoon 14k MF. (I missed journalling for a few days, so those calender days don't get counted in my 30 days with one pen.) The Sailor Black / Doyou mix ran out so I filled it with Pilot Black, not so nice now, drier and finer. I don't mind fine, but dry... ewwww... it's like I lost all the gains I made in getting comfortable with the pen. So, yes, there is a difference between Sailor Black and Pilot Black. How's that for news: Sailor pen writes nicer with Sailor ink.

Will work for pens...

Thank you, but for some reason I don't write with it often.  🤷‍♂️

Because it's like writing with a nail in your hand??

(My Edson, a poorer relative, is not an enjoyable pen...)

Two pens today.  The CS Duro needed refilling (done) and the Onoto Magna (filled - Oxford Blue) is back on duty after giving the Conway Stewart pens a turn.

I have to say that the Magna's nib is an absolute joy to write with.  Conway Stewart nibs are great, smooth writing nibs, but the Onoto nib is just that much better that like the mythical Lorelei, it keeps calling me.

Why is your Edson not an enjoyable writer?

I started to mention the Worf figure to me husband, and the first thing he asked was “Was he holding the Sword of Kahless‽ “ 😂

Oh, and thanks for the links. The eBay one is too pricy for what it is.  The AliExpress listing?  I've heard mixed reviews of them, but will definitely keep that link in mind (the cat one was also cute).

You’re so welcome. The Ebay one is pricey, and not even the worst offender on Google Shopping. The AliExpress is definitely a better option. I have been using AliExpress for pens for a couple of years now and have had just one really late package (it got caught in a USPS loop and had to be looked for en route, so not the seller’s fault) and one package that was supposed to be cartridges turned out to be Harry Potter party favors. I was refunded for that.

After a long 'put away', my Parker 75 Ciselle EF with Diamine Sapphire blue ink. I had forgotten what a lovely pen this is, and sooo smoooth for an EF.

Alternating between Pelikan M150, Diamine Onyx Black and Kaweco Dia 2, Diamine Oxford Blue.  The M150 is on the small side, but writes beautifully.

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.

So far, I have used my new Wing Sung 698 with Diamine Jack Frost. I will be swatching my new Kuretake ink, so the glass pen will make an appearance. I have 19! pens inked  at the moment, so I’m going to have a second post in here later today.

Today it's been a Noodler's day: the "Forbidden City" acrylic Konrad, flex nib -- trying to finish up a fill of diluted Heart of Darkness; and the "Medieval Lapis" (I think) Konrad (one of the resin ones), flex nib -- just inked up with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts.

It's been a grey pen/purple ink day for me today: first was the Silver Pearl Vac Major, F? nib, still with vintage Quink Permanent Violet; then later today it's been the grey Decimo, F nib, back in rotation (because it's a good pen for writing quick notes as to what I saw where) and freshly inked up with Iroshizuku Murasaki Shikibu.

And if I get energetic tonight (although I'm pretty fried at this point), I might take a stab at NaNoWriMo 2023, Day 1, using the Dove Grey 51 Vac, still with Robert Oster Sydney Lavender....  Just to keep with the color schemes/themes for today.... B)

OOOOH!  That's a pretty color!  It reminds me of Robert Oster Sydney Lavender, but maybe a little darker (or it might be that your written example is with a broader nib than on the Dove Grey 51 Vac, which I think is an EF....

Guess I'm adding another ink to the wish list....   (My husband will just be rolling his eyes over that, of course, since he ALREADY tells people that the pens are just the gateway to the REAL collection....)

It looks similar to  RO Sidney Lavender from my very wet Jinhao X-159 [M] but out of the bottle it's a thin, light colored ink on the order of Manyo Fuji.  Here it is on Tomoe River S.
