Uaooo. Very beautiful! Is it a raden one?

Thanks! It's a 1988 or 89 M600 Tortoise. It was the first generation of the M600. Which was considered a special edition up-level model of the M400 and was the same size. The finial has the two chicks and as you can see has a 14k two-tone nib.

Today it's been the new-to-me Parker Vector "Flowers" pen, M nib -- newly filled with Robert Oster Cult Blue.

I took a good look at the pen this morning in bright daylight and the cap imprint says the pen is UK production but I'll have to look at the date code under a loupe to figure out for sure when it was made.

Day 18 of my 30 day promise to use just one pen, a Sailor Snowmoon with a medium fine 14k nib and Sailor Doyou.

I'm about to order a converter for it and wondering if I should get a bottle of Sailor Black ink too (the ordinary dye one, not the pigmented). Trouble is I already have Pilot's Black and Take-sumi, and indeed a back up bottle of the Black as well. I have only had one cartridge of the Sailor Black and don't think it was a fair test to win me over and decide I want a bottle. Can someone comment? Indecision, my new normal, is holding up the order.

Will work for pens...

Standard Sailor black is usually reasonably priced, so I'm going to say go for it!

I don't have Take-sumi (yet) but Sailor black is different enough than Pilot black to be worth adding to your collection.

Apart from that it's a nice dye black, not the blackest but well behaved, dries relatively fast with reasonable water resistance and good lubrication.

I'm not the only 5 Below user today?  Just picked up a batch.  Actually, two.… this one's loaded with some dark blue mix.  It came with its own cart but I was feeling rebellious.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Is it different in hue or behavior to the other black inks you have on hand? I have also only used it in cartridges and can’t remember offhand how it compares with the Pilot inks. If it’s inexpensive to you, then I would go ahead and buy it. If you need to think on it, maybe see what ink review sites have to say.  The other thing I do is buy a set of cartridges (or a new Sailor 😈) and use them to see if a bottle would make sense, but that’s a more expensive option.

I love the pens I bought there. Maybe it’s because there’s no local store and that was a spur of the moment find while looking for flip flops on vacation, but they’re good pens. I check their website now and then, but I haven’t seen anything I like as much.

Can the 5 belows use Lamy nibs like the Jinhao 80s?

Also, you have some nice pens going and some nice inks with them. 😀

Thank you! I haven’t tried to change the nibs on these. This one has a hood, but the other of the pair has a nib similar to the Lamy Z nibs, when I get done with my chores for the day I will try and see if they fit.

My red Lamy Safari, modern Parker 51, Parker 25 and Parker Sonnet that is once again playing up. Lines going light dark, thick thin. Felt a little scratchy when 1st picked up and prefers use on single sheet of paper on desk odd🧐🤔this makes no sense what so ever.

Today it's been the Dove Grey 51 Vac, F? nib, still with Robert Oster Sydney Lavender.

For a pale ink color, and also coming out of a narrow nib, it's still a very legible ink on the page....
