Hi Baka1969

I was absent for a couple of days and wanted to ask you what ink that is.

Haha, you had all the features of a review:

Name of the Pen with a photo and a writing sample.

Name of the ink, a photo so we could see the color and an opinion.

The only thing I didn't see was the type of paper, but maybe you mentioned that in your previous "Mini Review"

On another topic I hope FPN figures out a way to increase our use of photos.

To me, pictures are everything and I'm not sure what I'm going to do when my allotment runs out.  There's such a difference between writing, "I wrote with three pens today, a Pelikan M1000, a Sailor KOP and a Jinhao X159" and displaying pics of the pens, where you could compare sizes, colors, nibs, sections, threads, anything that catches your eye....

And Never mind that it's so much more interesting when there's photos.

The ink you see is Noodler's Baystate Blue. I sort of have a love/hate thing with this ink. I absolutely love the color. It's a very difficult ink to work with however. It feathers like crazy on almost every paper. It's a PITA to clean out of pens. It's just not a very well behaved ink. I haven't found any other ink with that amazing color though. It works best with a fine nib.

Oh, that Raden Pelikan!!! WOW!!!

I've got to get my camera out and try to get better pictures of it. That one does not even start to do it justice!

Btw, I was so caught up with the color of that ink that I forgot to complement you on your great P20 pen.  Beautiful colors. 😀👍

I also wanted to complement you on your photo layout...  minimalist but caught my eye... nice job. 👍

Another stunning pen. 👍😀   Very interesting....  how common is it to put those parts together?

How hard to you have to press to get the nib to flair?  Would you be able to relate the pressure to a Pilot 743 FA?

I always ask, ink and paper s'il vous plait.....☺️

The paper is old Tomoe River 52gsm in the defunct Elemental Papers company Electron notebook.  I miss that company. I only got one 3-pack of notebooks from them.

My new-to-me Pelikan 120 inked with Robert Oster Australis Tea. I'm starting to think this pen wants a somewhat wetter ink.

My granny's kitchen drawer Arcadia inked with a bit of Herbin Bleu Myosotis.

Attempting to write out a Monteverde omniflex inked with MV Fire Opal. Love the ink, not so much that nib. Pen+ink was a gift from one of the kids so I was obligated to put it into rotation.

I've never seen this combination before and everyone that saw it the last three shows said the same thing. Index card with Waterman Havana brown. The pressure is much less than modern pens to get that flex.

I got in another Pilot Elite today. It's the E95s in black with a fine point. I have the burgundy E95s with medium nib and a vintage black also with a medium. The vintage one writes closer to a fine though.

The E95s pens are among the best writers I have. They're certainly the best writing pocket pens I have.

In the last picture from left to right: Ensso, Sailor, Pilot, Pilot, Pilot, Kaweco, Kaweco, Kaweco, Sailor
