A great pen and very nice handwriting as well! Enjoy it!

Thank you!  It really is a very good fountain pen. It writes very smoothly and I like the hand feeling it produces. I received it a couple of days ago.

My Log book pen was a Conklin Duragraph Red Nights filled with Montblanc Corn Poppy Red. I’ve used a Conklin pen the last 4 days.

All my Pelikans are inked up and ready to go for tomorrow's Pelikan Hub!

I’m so glad I saw this because I had totally forgotten that tonight was the night! I managed to go join in the fun (a little late) after seeing your post, so thank you!

Well, I am happy to say that for my Birthday I get a fountain pen from my mother, a Montegrappa Armonia so I have to wait a while to use it.

Continuing with my Ink mixing tests I loaded some of each mixture in Jinhao X-159 and 9019 pens so I would be using the same #8 Medium nibs, but as I've commented before, the new 9019 medium nibs were noticeably wetter than the slightly older dryer  X-159s.

To recap, the ink mixtures were 12 drops of each ink for Edelstein and Sailor, 6 each for Iroshizuku.

- Edelstein:         Sapphire & Topaz   <--- Dry Mix

- Iroshizuku:       Asa-Gao & Ama-Iro   <--- Wet Mix

- Sailor:               Shikori Nioi-Sumire & Manyo Sumire   <--- Very Wet (but my 3 9019s have wet nibs so I can't be sure how much wetter it was than the Iroshizuku mix)

Pens used were:

To further examine the difference in wetness, I took a look at the ink in the converters.  True to form, the very wet Sailor Mixture coated the converter and flowed horizontally, while the dry viscous Edelstein Mixture clumped in the end. The Iroshizuku Mixture, although no where near as wet as the Sailor Mixture, showed some wetting action on the sides of the converter and the beginning of it starting to flow.

Today it's been:

1) Reform c/c pen (black, EF? nib) that I picked up recently at an estate sale (not sure what the nib width is) -- still with a somewhat dried out cartridge of Edelstein Amethyst from my first Pelikan Hub.

2) Esterbrook SJ (white/Nurse's pen , 1555 Gregg nib) -- still with modern Quink Permanent Blue.

3) Pelikan M205 (Blue Marbled, M nib) -- still with 4001 Blue Black.

4) Pelikan M405 (Anthracite Stresemann, B nib) -- Edelstein Rose Quartz.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Pearl Series Lapis Lazuli....

That's the same ink you mentioned the other day... I looked it up and it's on my list.  😀👍

But that bottle looks like an accident waiting to happen. 🤪

That has to be one of the most unique pens out there !  What ink is that?  How does it write?  👍😀

I put Noodler's Apache Sunset in it. It writes decent enough. It's a vac filler to boot. I like having somewhat unusual and fun pens. I have the Rotoring, a Jinhao Porcaline and the Pelican Twist along with a vintage Sailor pen that is wrapped in ostrich leather.

n+1
