Montblanc Miles Davis, Iroshizuku Kon Peki, Monteverde Yosemite Green and Horizon Blue.  I kept adding this and that right in the cart: “Miles is too dry…oh, now it's too green…”

It just (for whatever reason!) turned to ick.  🤣

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

That actually sounds kinda neat, but I like teals and blue greens (even icky murky ones). I do really like light blues like Miles Davis for artsy things on their own, but I can see it being too light to be useful for writing.

It was a Jinhao 9019 until the postman knocked, and now it's a Jinhao 9019, Majohn A2, and Senator Calligraphy 1.9mm.

That's why I put it in a 1.1, mixed the colors, then swapped sections for a 1.8.  😅

I'm still using the Jinhao 9019 and I have a few comments to make about it.  I have 19 X-159s, EFs, fines, and mediums, as well as a small supply of fine and medium replacement nibs, that I use for my ink tests. They all have been on the dry side out of the box (bubble wrap).  It's not a problem with wet inks or easing them into a wetter state, which is my preference.

That said, the medium nibs on the 3 Jinhao 9019 sent to me have been improved.   They're now nicely wet and perfectly adjusted.  I think Jinhao has done a very good job by slowly improving these nibs.

The other thing Jinhao improved upon was the converter.  The 9019 has screw in converter that's enormous.

And wouldn't you know it, just when I'm evaluating one pen another one arrives.  It's a Wing Sung 630. It's a piston filler with a nib that's even bigger than the Jinhao's.  I've only written a few pages but it seems to have a nice wet nib that writes with "less effort" than the Jinhao X-159 (improved) nibs.  I watched some youtube reviews and they indicated that there was some feedback associated with the nib.  I was actually looking forward to the feedback but the pen that was sent to me is smooth like a pilot 743.

One of the reviewers measured the diameter of the feeds and they are very close to each other.  So what I'd like to do is transplant one of those big Wing Sung nibs to the Jinhao 9019 or X-159, because I prefer a cartridge converter to a piston filler for all the ink changing I end up doing.

The good news about cleaning the 630 is that the nib screws out from the section at the flair right before the nib.  (that flair is part of the nib assembly and not the section), and it came with a wrench to remove the piston.  Still, with unknown plastic I don't want to unscrew and rescrew these parts all that often.

Oh, one more thing.  The cap does not post securely and can pop off.  The cure was a little of my pinstripe whiteboard tape about 1/4 in above the finial ring.  Now it stays on just fine.  I had to do the same thing on the Moonman P136.

This pen arrived today EF nib.

My first 9019 but I am a fan of the X159 and apart from the ink capacity I am not sure there is any difference between the two. A nice pen and I filled it with Diamine Arabian Nights ink. The full converter should last a while even though I am writing lots of replies to pen pals at the moment.

It is the CC version of (I think) Alpha in the Oroblu color. Birmingham Kentucky Blue Grass. Some rough European paper that comes with notebooks from Innovative Journaling (formerly Renaissance Arts) in Santa Fe (I'm in Albuquerque).

Get on the Innovative Journaling site. He breaks down the papers he uses.  I'm not sure which this. It is cream color.
