Navy Gray 51 Vac, EF? nib -- still with Robert Oster Sydney Lavender.

Which reminded me to check my shipment from Cult Pens, which includes a full bottle of Sydney Lavender -- and it's made it stateside as of about 12:30 AM EDT!

I fitted a zoom-style nib to a Jinhao 992 to try out as a drawing pen. (I forgot I ordered  the nib, arrived ages ago and was put 'somewhere safe'...)  So far it's looking interesting.  I filled it with Van Dieman's Federation Peak - a well behaved fairly neutral grey. The pen is opaque  grey.

Journal pen today was a Narwhal Schulkyl Teal filled with Taccia Sabimidori.

Will work for pens...

Adding the Forbidden City Noodler's Konrad, flex nib, to pens used today, since I had to get a check in the mail.

And WOOHOO!  My order from Cult Pens was on the porch when I ran out earlier this evening to the post office!   So the Gold & Black al-Star SE is now soaking, nib down, in soapy water -- to get any residual manufacturing gunk (and what looked like a bit of Lamy Blue) out of it.

Woke up very early this morning in a prayer journaling mood.  Rolling over and grabbing my

journal the first pen I picked was a green/black Crocodile 377 inked with Thorton Green ink.

After writing a couple of pages, I felt the need for a different pen.  I then laid my hands on the

Majohn A2 (yellow/black), inked with Diamine Syrah and wrote another couple of pages.

There was still much on my mind, and then pulled out my Transparent Blue Jinhao 82 inked
with Chesterfield Antique Oxford and  finished off the last 3 pages of journaling for today.

Today's it's been three pens:

1. Pilot Decimo (dark blue, stub nib) -- Iroshizuku Tsuyu-kusa.

2. Lamy al-Star Gold and Black SE (gold with black nib and clip, F nib) -- Robert Oster Astorquiza Rot.

3. Noodler's Konrad, ("Forbidden City" acrylic, flex nib) -- Noodler's Heart of Darkness.

Interestingly, a couple of days ago I was using the Konrad on some very slick paper, and I discovered that HoD *sheens* and it looks like metallic silver.... :eureka:

A Sailor Lecoule Pale Brown MF with Sailor Doyou for writing. And I just filled a Sailor Proske transparent zoom nib with Teranishi Travelling Sepia for drawing. It feels kinda watery and odd. Nice colour though.

Wasn't familiar with Teranishi inks, so I just looked up the Traveling Sepia and that does look like a nice color....

But I can't settle on my inks, so I ordered a bunch of samples.  Now it's a work in progress.

I put a bottle in my Amazon cart, I love it that much. I was a bit wary as I know that this brand is susceptible to SITB, but it’s so pretty.  This and Wearingeul Wayfarer are my current favorites.  I’m having a sparkly summer!

Platinum 3776 SF (Chenonceau white...why is that city or castle is associated with white?) and Platinum black (dyestuff). That ink is making the usually dry and scratchy nib glide!

RE: SITB

I had a bottle of Aurora Black go bad like that.  The reason I remember it was that I drove out to the Aurora distributor (I think on Long Island) to complain that my Aurora Primavera was not as smooth as my Waterman Patrician.  Back then I was a Wee-Auroraphile and didn't know that Aurora nibs have some tooth.  Apparently the distributor didn't know that either.  Anyway, the distributor brought out a number of pens and We had a lot of fun comparing them to the Patrician I brought with me. Of course none of the Aurora pens were as smooth as the Patrician but I really enjoyed dipping and writing with all the different Aurora pens.  It was a nice experience and the distributor gave me the bottle of Black ink we had been dipping in when I left.

I had my own black Aurora ink and when that was used up I opened the bottle of ink the distributor had given me and it had a thick floating plug of sludge on top. 😝  Tossed it out.
