What I like about this pen is the wet nib and soft ride.

What I like about this blue ink is the pink glow.

Magna! Magna! Magna!

That's cool, I thought, Paul has taken up manga. :)

Today's journal pen pen will have Pilot Blue in it. Not sure which pen. I'm going to pull the converter out of yesterday's Perkeo and put it in something that doesn't clash visually.

Will work for pens...

No, I got too busy with life and left the world of graphic fiction many decades ago and haven't looked back.

Well, today is Free Comic Book Day 2023. Inspired, perhaps?

I used a Cross Botanica in Purple Orchid with J Herbin Poussiere de Lune ink, and a Faber-Castell Grip 2010 in turquoise filled with GvFC Violet Blue.

Nice Clairefontaine too, I always liked that design of covers!

So far today it's been the Noodler's Konrad "Forbidden Cities", flex nib (Noodler's Heart of Darkness); and a quick test of the unknown (and reconstituted ink) in the Waterman (don't know the model or nib width) I picked up at an estate sale last weekend; the ink appears to be some sort of teal-leaning blue black.

Today's journal pen was a Kaweco Perkeo 1.1mm with Pilot Blue.

Is that from the calligraphy set?  Just ordered one.

Today I'm writing with a NoNami FauxLamy, and a mix of Pelikan Blue Black and Turquoise.  The color matches the deep green NoNami barrel in a way that is weirdly satisfying.

My latest ebook.   And not just for Halloween!

My other pen is a Montblanc.

That's really awesome!  Also, a really attractive looking pen.  What's the nib on it, and what ink was in it?

don't think I have ever seen a Pelikan pen with that coloring for the barrel and cap.

More information and picture would be appreciated if possible.

Meanwhile, congratulations on your find and enjoy it.

The nib looks oblique in this photo, but it's not. Also, on better paper, the nib is quite a bit crisper than it appears on this paper.

It's a Mertz and Krell Pelikan. There are a number of threads around here on them.  Here''s some more information about the branding:

Here's a pic I had taken with some other pens a while back:

@inkstainedruth My records indicate it's Pilot Iro Tsukushi, but also that I found the pairing a little bit dry, so I might have switched it out after that and forgotten to note it.   But it probably is Tsukushi.  The nib says it's iridium.

Today's journal pen was a Greenfield (aka Steiner school pen) with a fine nib and a black cartridge. It lives in a small Lihit Lab pen case (as a reliable backup) alongside my journal. I usually choose my journal pen with care, but today... meh... too hard. There are days like this.

Will work for pens...

sailor 1911s medium nib with seiboku - great combination and small enough to take anywhere.  lots of driving today.
